Message from A Parent

The message from the MR LIM has been removed by the administrator. Mr. Lim has falsely represented himself as a parent who wants to resolve the matter. Instead the MR. LIM is in fact the hand picked HEAD Prefect.

As such the adminstrator feels that MR LIM a.k.a MARCUS is incapable to help in this matter and as such has removed his message.

The administrator wishes to apologize to all visitors to this blog for an oversight in this matter.

Marcus - if you want to help then stop your schoolmates from transfering out of the school.

MARCUS THE MINUTES OF THE AUGUST MEETING AND THE PIBG CONSTITUTION WAS NEVER SEND OUT. NONE OF THE PARENTS I SPOKE TO HAS RECEIVED IT. IF YOU WANT TO HELP AND CLAIM THAT YOU HAVE SEEN IT, PLEASE ASK THE SCHOOL TO MAIL IT OUT TO ALL PARENTS. IF NOT THERE WILL BE A TSUNAMI AT THE NEXT PIBG AGM WHICH YOU WONT BE AROUND TO WITNESS. CALL THE AJK PIBG AND GET THEM TO HELP YOU OUT IF YOU ARE REALLY SERIOUS ABOUT IT. YOU HAVE VOICED OUT YOUR WILLINGNESS TO HELP AND WOULD BE A BIG SLAP ON YOUR FACE IF NO ACTIONS WERE TAKEN. DONT LEAVE BEHIND A LEGACY AS A PERSON WHO DID NOTHING AND JUST TALK (OR IN THIS CASE "WRITE") ONLY. DONT LET THIS MATTER HAUNT (ie if you failed) YOU BUT RATHER BE PART OF YOUR LIFE ACHIEVEMENT.

We need to know exactly who really this Mr. Lim is before we send anything to him.

I am Mr Lim. I am as determine as you are to resolve the issues that has been going on. I may seem like a normal person to you, but i can assure you that I can arrange a meeting for you. Many a times I've spoken to the pengetua and many a times she has agreed to meet you.

I know you all have tried. Now let me do my part as a student of SMK BUD(4). She responds to me. Just collect all the date, agree on a few dates so that it becomes flexible for all.

Now is the school holidays, without school activities and major projects going on, I believe everyone has more time in their hands. Let's use it.

Please, I urge the parents to cooperate with me. I am very certain that I offer my services to help the school in anyway I can.

I do not guarantee success, but I'm willing to strive for it. All I need is the parent's support.

Thank you
ps:if u view my profile, my blog is 'I Have Been Resurrected!!'

wth. MR.LIM. very nice. Mr. i know u are just trying to solve the matter. but i have to say this. i think you over estimate yourself. being the head of prefect doesn't make you the power to do so. i doubt parents will listen to you.

Marcus Lim said...

" f123 said...

i agree, we shouldn't stand on ones side based on one issue. look for all evidences. the pengetua's supporters! good job for helping her. hahaha. if u support her, ofcourse you're trying to protect her la. so no point fighting over it. pls end this. either solve all the problems, or kick the pengetua out."

You said this earlier. I assume you support this for the objective is exactly as you mentioned. You inspired me to know that a fellow student has the same idea.

I agree with you. The parents may not listen, but then again they may. At least i know I'm doing something.

I am not doing it as the Head of Prefect. As you must know, I have already stepped down from that position.

And the thing about power, you do not need power to do something like this, I'm not commanding or ordering anyone, I'm merely suggesting and helping.

If you would like to comment further, it is encouraged to add in some value in the comment like suggesting a useful idea to the cause or by giving some useful information to resolve the matter.

Thank you

Dear Marcus,

I know that you want to suck up to the Pengetua. You are a hand pick head of prefect. The parents on the other hand have more authority than you. Here is an example, - Can you go to the Ministry of Education and make a compplaint. I am afraid you can. I have heard of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE but in your case its MISSION RIDICULOUS. Go and be a head prefect and leave this matters to the parents.

Marcus Lim said...

Yes, like you said, I'm afraid I can.

Again I clarify I am not supporting the Pengetua. Therefore, I am not trying to 'suck up' to the pengetua.

I appreciate your comments for it helps me avoid future complications when i face them. This would be a very challenging task.

My intentions are pure.
They are to provide a better environment for the students of SMKBUD4, which happens to be your children.

At least think about their future. That is what I am doing.

Thank you.

Marcus Lim said...

By the way. I don't get anything from doing all this. I'm already out of the school. Why should i 'suck up' to her. My motives are for the students.

Marcus Lim said...

Oh yea. And one more thing. The Hand picked you talked about.

If i understand correctly, you mean to say that I being elected as Head Prefect was decided by her only and her alone.

That is the most illogical statement ever.

I was installed last year, when she wasn't around yet. She was still in Sabah. So how is that possible?

Thank you

Anonymous said...

lawl. you never see such drama in damansara jaya.

Anonymous said...

yes. i want this matter to stop. but not you. you are a student. No way parents will listen to you. And looking at it, it is clearly stated that you are supporting the pengetua. you are such a follower to the pengetua like SOME teachers, who continuously clean her shoes.

and just so you know, i wonder if you know how many students are in support of you. If you can't even handle students, don't think about parents. You are just listening from one side of story.

Know your standards. Handpick Head prefect. We did not say that The Pengetua did that. Get it clear. You as head prefect? many doesn't even respect you as one. Even teachers and parents doesn't like you. Your skin is as thick as an elephant's skin.

Anonymous said...

Its not that you are doing it as a head prefect or not. The fact is you think you are very great because you were the head.

But. Unfortunately, you are not at all.

Marcus Lim said...

Sorry. i decided not to respond.

Marcus Lim said...

wow hey! you respond fast!
You're obsessed with this. HAHA
Don't you have something else better to do?

I can tell you more. Im very sure you do not know the other side of the story.

Anonymous said...

Marcus, if you're sincere in helping out, I believe you have to prove yourself first.

You should be telling us the "other side" of the story you're aware of.

Marcus Lim said...

Thank you anonymous.

I do not know everything that you are unhappy about. But i do know the answers to most of the things.

I shall list down a few now, and please add in other things that you are unhappy about so that i can get the answer for you.

1. Cheer leading being banned because of her conservative mind.
A: It was because none of the teachers wanted to take the position as teacher adviser. Later on, Pn Zubaidah manage to get Cik Adilah to take over.

2. She believes that drums bring bad spirits to the school.
A: The pengetua dislikes loud noises. She didn't even like the sound of Kompang. SO she merely asked to have it later in the morning. The part about bad spirits was made up.

3. She changed Malam Bakat to Hari Bakat.
A: Parents complained that malam bakat was bad because it ended so late. It becomes dangerous for students. Furthermore, there have been cases of students being beaten up. One of my prefects had that misfortune once. So they moved it in the morning.

These are the major issues that parents are always complaining about. Note that I am merely listing down both sides of the stories. I'm not taking sides.

Any more questions, please ask. I would willingly confide the 'other side' of the story.

Please accept it with an open mind. I know some of you will start thinking that it was made up to cover the truth. Wouldn't that prove that you are unwilling to hear the other side? Believe the evidence.

Teachers can testify about the Cheer leading incident.

Prefects and other students can testify about the beating and late nights.

Has anyone heard her say that drums bring bad spirits? A bunch of teachers can also testify that she mentioned about the kompang being too loud.

That is all for now.
I am on neither sides

Anonymous said...

I would like to ask a few question. What you've listed down was the Pengetua's side of story isn't it. Why is there no possibility that she was trying to cover it up? What makes you think that she wasn't?

So i suppose you are saying teachers made up all the story. I would like to know who are the teachers involved in hearing what the pengetua had said.

Next, it would be the Malam Bakat. Well, actually i have nothing againts it. But the Pengetua should have consult the teachers or so first because it was held every year and there was no problems involved. Bare in mind. I remembered CLEARLY. The prefect that got hit, was a Taekwando or Karate competition winner. Well, my point is not that he should fight back. BUT, that happened during the performance. And its NOT after. During means it could happen during the day too. I was there just so you know.

As for others issues, I'm sure teachers heard it with their own ears. And why would the teachers made up story out of nothing. There will not be wave if there is no wind.

Phil said...

What a joke. Honestly speaking, after reading this I can proudly say that you did not deserve to the position you had.

You deceived everyone to believing you. Yes although you had admitted to be you at the end but it's too late to mend things.

I am very positive that you yourself cannot be sure of the answers you posted to the questions. So please, stop trying to deceive everyone even further.

You have failed and let me repeat. YOU HAVE FAILED. No one is going to believe you anymore.

There is a saying, 'A man with dignity is a man with pride.' This quote definitely do not suit you.

Marcus Lim said...

These answers came from teachers.

There is a possibility of a cover up.

I don't think she wasn't covering up.

Story about the drums was made by students.

Since there's a possibility of a cover up, why shouldn't there be a possibility of a misunderstanding?

I never stated i believed these.

I merely stated to believe in the evidence. Which hasn't been shown.

I do not believe in the words of Men, I believe in the evidence.

Anonymous said...

"I do not know everything that you are unhappy about. But i do know the answers to most of the things."

does this saying proves that you believe? Answers to most of the things. if that wasn't believing, what was it?

Marcus Lim said...

Man.. you're one small confused person

You asked for the 'other side' of the story. So i'm saying i know the answer.. which is the 'other side' of the story.

I know the answer to most of the things.

I know the 'other side' of the story to most of the things.

Got it?

'I merely stated to believe in the evidence. Which hasn't been shown.'

I think you're contradicting yourself there. If the evidence hasn't been shown as you had said then what evidence is there? pure rubbish i would say.

'I know the answer to most of the things.'

Just because you got a psychology scholarship does not mean you're THE BEST. Like i had mentioned, how would you know your answers are right? Got evidence bring it forward if not just shut up and live on with your life.

You accuse people for being confused but i think you are the one who is confused. Please get your facts right before you start commenting again.

Marcus Lim said...

I'm sorry. I did not put my sentence right.

When i said i believe in the evidence, which hasn't been shown.

I was trying to imply that i do not believe in both sides because both sides do not have any evidence.

I do not think I'm the best. In fact, I think that you, Philip, is much more better then me. And please understand that I have not concluded whether the answers i have given are true or false. We are currently investigating the issues.

And that statement, i meant to say that i know some of the 'other side' of the story. I should be more careful about the way i write.

And thank you Philip for showing me that. Seriously, I appreciate it.

Thank you all for your comments and opinions.

it's controversies like these that makes me think it's a relief that i'm studying in damansara jaya.

Hello, i'm not a student of bud4 nor was i before. i'm simply a passerby who happens to blog hop and reached this site.

i think it's becoming more of a drama in a very long telenovela series that seems to be getting hiccups here and there. i sometimes laugh at certain issues for being too, err, overzealous?

but still i lack first-hand experience and information. after reading the blog postings i somehow get a rough idea of what's happening.

that you have a very sucky pengetua.

(by the way i've been to bud4 before. great looking school and very nice fountain indeed. though canteen food is a little under par for me since i last visited)

from what i think, if the situation is really that bad in the school where the idiom 'cakap tak serupa bikin' fits in, i think the parents aren't really to blame if they insist on transferring their children out.

Because why:
Firstly, i'm sure most, if not all, of the parents, teachers and especially the students know what sound the pengetua's trumpet makes. and if a meeting with a parents still cannot rectify the matters but in fact deteriorating them instead, surely that's the straw that broke the camel's back. you would fight on, but are you still willing to? i know the admin of this blog will, judging by the posts. but what about other parents, besides the pibg who probably still thinks they still have something in stake left?

with a school of 1300+ students, and with parents making up around the same number, only a small percentage are probably taking up the challenge to address the pengetua for all of her drawbacks. the majority of parents (and a very silent one indeed) tends to be more responsive to bread and butter issues. if the school can't deliver, fine, transfer my child out.

yes, they wouldn't want their children to be educated in such a place, but in the same time they wouldn't have all the time in the world (unlike the admin of the blog) to address the school's shortcomings which are mostly caused by the pengetua. they have other and more important things to cater to.

Secondly, to say that the parents who are transferring their children out are SELFISH and ADMITTED DEFEAT is a misconception.

you say that they are selfish by allowing the pengetua to have supreme power over other people's children.

okay fine. we stay and fight on. but until when? when will they get the desired results they wanted for oh-so-long? they complained to JPS, no response. they complained to the Ministry, no response. they have a meeting with the pengetua, nothing resolved. with all these unconvincing replies, parents are not to be blamed if they even THINK of transferring their children to a better school like SMKDJ (chewah).

they have every right to do so, so don't label them as being 'selfish', 'admitted defeat' or even 'no conscience'. do you think that the parents would think of other people's children first, then only theirs? not everyone has the martyr-like mentality like the admin. do you personally would want to let your children to continue studying in this school simply because you have a conscience for other students? you are, in fact, having no conscience at all for your OWN CHILDREN.

thirdly, i don't see how students (or most of it) of bud4 are being affected by this controversy. i have friends at bud4 and they are doing alright. PERFECTLY FINE, matter of fact. not top of the morning fine but good nevertheless. they too are very aware of what is happening around their school but how does all of it affect their results and performance in school?

not much, really. maybe only a small percentage but like i said, the majority, the SILENT majority, just simply don't give a rat's ass.

i simply don't care much if the pengetua isn;t around to render her support for me when i take PMR. how does her presence help me in the exam? maybe morally but at the end of the day, how will it help me? but in the first place the pengetua is disliked so much, so does her presence REALLY help you? all i want is a goddamn straight As, with or without the pengetua. that's all that matters, really.

matter of fact, most of the complaints doesn't really affect the students academically and co-curicullarly.

in SMKDJ, we had a new pengetua early last year. before her arrival she had made her name as a racist 'datin'. why? she was before this the PK1 of SMKDU, and most of her implementations during her tenure there mostly benefited the, you guessed it, malays. one of major decision, which i'm not sure has sparked controversies is her decision to ban the Christian Fellowship of the school. when we heard of that, we (students) were shocked. though i'm not in my school's CF commitee, but being a christian, i too am worried of the welfare of he christian students in our school, as we have a very strong CF here.

news of her 'infamous' decision spread like wildfire, and by the time for the pibg AGM many parents brought up the issue of the CF being banned in DJ. no, the response was. and our former PK1 has clarified this and given her word. but most of our pengetua's implementations were new and hard to digest.

Namely:
1. setting up small metal panels containing 'facts' on each ceiling divider on the corridors. this has been implemented in DU before and it still remains there.
2. issuing directives to teachers to order their students to draw mind maps of a certain subject and to place them in holders all around the school, making the school a very informative place. marks will be given to students and will be carried to their first term exams.
3. attempted to ban our very strong cheerleading team, on grounds that it is 'haram'.
4. issued a directive of not allowing female athletes to not wear their exercise pants but replace with something else, on grounds that it's 'tight' and very 'revealing'.
5. increasing and maintaining the quota of malays in participation and decision-making committees of school co-curricular clubs.
6. used school funds for a crane just to transfer one billboard to another block. it costs a lot, i heard.

...and the list goes on. as you can see, we're dealing with an ultra malay here.

but hey, we don't mind a lot. the people of DJ are not severely affected. we grumble of these issues over recess and in msn, but we are still who we are. we still make the name DJ proud in selangor. we boast a near perfect SPM record in 2007. we have won ten debating titles in 9 years. we have been cheerleading champions twice and runners-up in four years. we have won the sekolah cemerlang award our pengetua has worked so hard for our school to win it. you see, my point here is that despite all our pengetua's shortcomings (something we have in common) we all can still shine and blossom in DJ. i'm very proud studying here, a place where we have a legacy, a vision.

so to end this comment i would like to say i wish for the best for bud4. and to the parents who consider transferring their children, well by all means, DO SO. you are not GIVING UP THE FIGHT, you are in fact NOT GIVING UP YOUR CHILDREN AND WHAT THEY ASPIRE TO BECOME.

p.s. still do forgive me if i get some facts wrong. i am but in fact an outsider. :)

Anonymous said...

marcus. shut up. You've said enough. You've made your wrong statement. stop trying to deny or rephrase.

Anonymous said...

DJ guy. hey. you are right. much of the students are not affected. but hey. its affecting the teachers. if the teachers are affected, students will soon be. good teachers are leaving one by one. so how do you expect the students to be not affected? at the mean time yes. but in long term. no.

Cathaj said...

thus brings back to my first point. if you can tahan, stay. if not, fight. or transfer out.

Cathaj said...

another thing. i don't get why you pick on marcus as a handpicked head prefect. by hand picked you mean not elected, right? isn't that how most head prefects are chosen, by the prerogative of teachers and the pengetua? this is not like sri aman where the candidates have electoral campaigns.

i personally am a prefect and in the ajk and i have NO RESPECT for my head whatsoever, for he is a total ass. i complain and grumble of him being chosen but that's the only thing i can do, and nothing seems to change. but i don't continuously harp on that matter. i'm not in good terms with him and we only speak when we REALLY have to.

my point here is i'm sure marcus has his good intentions on resolving the matter. i've not met him in person, though, but i'm sure he prioritize the condition in bud4. it's just that why are people capitalizing on him being HANDPICKED? it's not like you can vote. he's not being great and almighty, but instead being a student of SMKBUD4 that does not want to see his soon-to-be alma mater left in the dire straits. at least he's trying, right?

i do not know what he hs done to leave a bad taste in your mouths but from what i've seen so far, he did not do anything wrong. but do forgive me if i get my facts wrong as i am an outsider, still :)

Anonymous said...

You are wrong. What the admin meant was he is not the right person to choose. yes. no doubt its picked by teachers. But he got chosen because he is that particular teacher's pet. When no doubt there are much much more qualified candidates.

Cathaj said...

tell me which head prefect is not a teacher's pet? i have my fair share of knowing previous head prefects and some current ones. the last time we have an EXTREMELY GOOD head prefect was in 2005. his name is lin ern sheong. though he is a teacher's pet (in fact, most of the teacher's), he has built a reputation amongst DJ-ians that even the most notorious gangster in our school respects him. since then, the quality of head prefects descends like the stock market. even our last year's head prefect is a corrupted one, just that we don't say it out loud.

even the current one in my school is an ass-kisser. he's always under subject of the head discipline teacher, which so happens to be my class and bio teacher. one way or another, i'm potentially affected, in terms of participation and decision making. we both (the head prefect and i) don;t like each other, and we're very aware of that.

i understand what you mean if you say that you don't like marcus. i'm just telling you that i've experienced (and still experiencing) it before. i think there are better candidates to be the KP in my school. heck, most of the school's population don't even KNOW the current KP until it was announced in the morning assembly. so u see the popularity streak here?

but at the end of the day, if someone's is trying to help, EVEN THOUGH it may be in vain, to improve the current situation, we'd give it a shot, won't we? i mean, let's put our differences aside and be apolitical to work towards a common goal. you've not even heard most of his side of the story and you're already bashing him up? i think you're, in fact, gaining some mileage in this instead coming to a consensus with each other. if my current head prefect wants to do something REALLY good and beneficial to the school and catches my attention, i would support him provided there is a basis first.

but still i must remind you that i'm but an outsider, but i'm just giving you my fair share of background politics. :)

Anonymous said...

Perhaps we should divert back to the REAL situation at hand, shall we? (:

IMO, a meeting with pengetua should be carried out. This is in accordance to what the parents has always demanded (with pengetua being absent and all). Now that she has agreed, why are there no responds from the parents? Are the parents pleased after all?

When someone finally steps up to address the current situation, commentators throw in unjust remarks towards Marcus. Were it another name, could the response have been different? He has a personal blog for you to leave your constructive criticism, fyi. However he was selected as the head, should not be linked to this. It is quite obvious that his past position drained the trust out of some (my apologies if I got this wrong), but TRY to think of him as nothing but a student – and hear his suggestion out. Because I feel it’s a fairly good idea, as to filling this blog with heaps of comments. However this will benefit Marcus, i don't bother. My only interest is for the better of the school.

I do wonder, what changes has this blog brought from day one? If letters to the kementerian did not work out, perhaps the best way is to seek answers from the pengetua.

I am in no favour of the pengetua, the head prefect, nor the parents behind this blog. Rumours can lie, Marcus can lie, so can the pengetua and i.

Whatever Marcus has posted here, I would put aside in my mind, but not believe them. I have heard far too much to believe either sides now. The best is to meet up with pengetua herself. Let both parties talk issues over. And perhaps if she lies to your face, you can tell me with much assurance, ‘‘Pn Pengetua was not telling the truth, she was fumbling with her answers; twisting her words every 5 minutes!’’.

Note that the sentence was just an EXAMPLE. I’m implying that we should not talk without basis, without evidence .. if you’ve not PERSONALLY heard from the pengetua.

I have my curiosities, I want my answers. Eg : why was the pengetua missing from cheer08, where is the school spirit in that? If the pengetua cannot explain herself, perhaps we do need a change of head.

Anonymous said...

To refrain from confusion with multiple anonymous, i'm the one with the william drayton quote.

Anonymous above, does 'he' refer to the head prefect? Let him not help then. All we require is that he arrange a meeting, that's it. The pengetua deserves one chance to clarify herself at the very least. I'm not saying i trust her.

Cathaj said...

i concur with william drayton. here here! :)

By all means, he can arrange the meeting. But now he's asking parents to send in their opinions to him, evidence if they have and all. Can we trust him with this?

I believe not, we know for who he is, that is why we disagree with him handling this issue.

Anonymous said...

You don't make sense, the above anonymous.

If he's asking for evidence from the parents. Those evidence would be against the principal, isn't it.

Ya, that's my point. Then the Principal would know about all these, and prepare herself to face any obstacles in this. You don't understand the situation enough to know what I'm saying.

i don't think i've seen any statement by marcus asking the parents to channel their complaints through marcus then to the pengetua. all he is saying is to arrange a meeting between the two parties, like a mediator, yeah?

please don't get confused here. you tend to get emotional with the browbeating.

If the evidence were against her, why not just give it straight to the Jabatan? And since nothing has happened? It only shows that there were not enough evidence to throw her out.

If you want to throw someone out, you need a strong reason. Changing Malam Bakat to Hari Bakat, banning cheer, avoiding parents. These are not strong reasons to throw someone out.

If you have evidence saying that she is being racist and dividing the races. That is a strong reason.

If not, we have no power to throw her out just yet.

And even if we did, they'll just send another one to our school. When is this going to end?

Maybe when Pn. Lee becomes the Principal.

What do you all think?

Anonymous said...

Such a loyal dog 'Mr Lim' is. Great shoe polisher.

Anonymous said...

Oh Come on. Everyone knows that Pn Lee wants to be the Headmistress. She has been after that position ever since Pn Liu left! Its so obvious! Well, she was suppose to be the new Headmistress when Pn Liu left but the Jabatan decided not to appoint her for some reasons. And ever since that incident, she was been finding ways to get rid of the new Headmistress. The conflict is not between the parents and the Headmistress, its between Pn Lee and the Headmistress. Funny how we don't mention her name here. Let's start. Its between Pn Lee and Pn Zabedah! In fact, some of us think that the transfer of Pn Lee was to get more support from the parents.

Honestly speaking, Pn Lee would BE a better Headmistress then Pn Zabedah. And i agree to that. The only thing I do not agree is the method she is using to become the Headmistress. Its not the right way!

But anyway, GO PN LEE!
But take it easy on the teachers, too many have transferred out because of you. Too many teachers have suffered because of you.

Anonymous said...

Outsider, shut up and leave. its getting more and more annoyed seeing outsiders. For the above anonymous. fight between that 2? i think you are one of the followers of the pengetua. Only retards would have said that.

Anonymous said...

Do you realize you're the only one supporting your comments? Don't you realize you're the only one fighting and defending all the other comments? You poor sad person. Categorizing the world into two categories only. Supporter of Pn Lee. Supporter of Pn Zabedah. Go get a life! This is not the only thing you have to focus on. And the way you put it, 'i think you are one of the followers of Pn Zabedah', makes it sound like there are two parties in the school trying to win an election. Doesn't that mean the quarrel is between them?

That will be all for now and ever.
It is pointless to comment in this blog, people here are too conservative. Its suppose to be a free open discussion where opinions can be expressed freely without some pricks finding fault in your comments to attack you. If anyone believes the other party is right, all you have to do is express your opinion with substances supporting it. Not screwing around with other people's words and labeling them.

I officially wasted 5 minutes of my time. God

You guyz shouldn't even be separating each other into groups~ =.= All in all, most of the students are not really affected, other than the teachers... So why do you really care?! Just let the parents get involved... You guyz should just enjoy the time you have left with your friends. Lifes short, enjoy it to the fullest. by right, students actually have little say and a menial role in school administration. i suggest that you students should not write comments that are, err, 'seditious' in nature? such comments can only sway and influence people's thoughts and decisions, ESPECIALLY the parents.

after all, we all are students and have but little background story of what is REALLY happening, as in the 411, you know? let the parents, if they still want, deal with the matters with the higher echelons. all we students are suppose to do is just to inform our parents necessary information. so let's quiet down the mud-slinging as nothing (based on what i've read) has been clarified on BLACK and WHITE.

Marcus. Listen here.Whatever you do, don't side with anyone.

Honestly, neither side is the right one. Marcus ain't a shoe polisher.. He's just mislead(sorry dude, no offense). Now, we all think pengetua sucks coz she dun seem to care.. truth is, whether she shows up to meet the parents or not, there will only be complaints. so, she decided to keep quiet and work on her own.. she blew her top on hari guru.. though i think it wasnt right. as for pn.lee, she cant be pengetua coz if u go in as penolong kanan, u leave a penolong kanan. nevermind seniority. thats just how it goes.this fight is between both of them..

JUST both of them. im sorry to say as a student of this school, i dun see mutual cooperation in the administration of the school.. parents want to transfer their kids out and all..just because of two squabbling women. the parents clearly haven't seen our achievements this year. just cause pn.lee has a "good" track record in the school dun mean she's all that..not that i support pengetua.. she hasn't done much either.. but what i really cannot fathom is the way OUR Rm150k was gone in just the first two months of this year.. how on earth did that happen.. i dun think pengetua was the cause since she only got there in january and didn't know bout the money...

I seriously don't understand why is everyone shooting off Marcus here. He is OFFERING and OPTION for a SOLUTION.

If you want to accept that offer, by all means. If you don't, then just reject it.

It only shows how immature you guys are when you start attacking the person by calling him all sorts of things just from mere judgement.

I understand that it is not easy to clear your mind and give an open opinion about the task at hand, but please remember that it is a task which can be done in several different routes.

He is merely offering a route.

No point attacking the person, it won't being you guys anywhere. Attack the problem for a solution.

If you've never tried, you'll never know. Give him a little trust.

I'm not attacking him.. just wanting you guys to know that its not worth supporting pn.lee OR pengetua.. two ways lead to the same conclusion. we still wont be happy...

The Truth Is Out There!!

Anonymous said...

Take it this way.

The teachers are currently divided into two groups. One is known as the LST (Lee SupporTer) and LSF (Lee SuFferers).

LST wants her to be principal and take charge so that they can enjoy special privileges like having a position.

LSF rather carry out their duties without the tortures of Lee. Because they are not helping her to become principal.

So, if LEE leaves, most of LST would leave. Leaving the school with too little teachers to teach.

On the other hand, if Zabedah leaves, most of LSF would leave. Leaving the school with too little teachers to teach too.

Either, students will suffer.

So, best solution of all.

CHANGE BOTH OF THEM!!
AND MAKE SURE THEY END UP IN DIFFERENT SCHOOLS!

Fun-facts : Do you know that all the BU schools refuse to accept Lee?

fikirkanlah...

Dear Students, Ex-Students, Marcus, Teachers and Parents...

1. Why did i put all capital in front ? Is because i respect you all.

2. Will there be any solution on this matter where you all keep on like this ? No !!!

3. Can anyone tell me why is blogs created? To talk bad about people?

4. Parents i think is enough to talk or scold about Marcus already.

5. Marcus same to you also. Stop it.

6. Advice for Marcus, just don't involve in this because we are still young. I heard from prefects says that you were the 1 that ask them not to involve in this problem but in the end you here. How are you going to gain respect from the junior prefects? How are you going to face the teachers that hurt by you? Just think twice 1st!

7. Do u all mind i share a story ?
When i knew that SMK B.U.D.(4) was 1 of the popular school in P.J. i immediately ask my parents to help me transfer into this school. Lucky i could get in. When i was in form 1 i can feel that this school really can be my 2nd home. Is just so nice. Year by year, i can feel that the school is not like last time already, so nice and fun. Now, i don't really feel happy. Although the main events in school managed to go on. All kind of the stories i have heard, many version too! Is this the original of SMK B.U.D.(4)? the school is just like the Malaysia's politic! Is this a trend of 2008? I think every single of you there also want the school to be good, but this is NOT the way already. What do u all think? I also don't want be like 'pat po' or 'ah sam'(in cantonese if don't understand please do ask people) go and know every thing.

So, this is all my views. What about you all? REMEMBER, THINK TWICE!!! Maybe you can scold me but this is JUST my views!!!

Thanks. 2008

WOW. So many comments since i last logged in.

Anyway, just to clarify, i WAS just intending to offer my help to organize a meeting between the two parties because i know for a fact that I am able to do ask the pengetua to organize one.

And if the parents didn't want one, all the parents had to say was :

"Thanks, but no thanks. The parents can handle the situation."

That's all. A parent would have said that. Don't have to say all those nasty things to people. How would you like it if you were being attacked?

Anonymous said...

Dear Marcus,

The reasons you have been attacked is because you tried doing the impossible. What makes you think you can arrange such meeting. What do you get out of it. If you are sincere about it, the best thing that you could have done is to encourage the students to stay back instead of transfering out.

Thanks to you poor Puan Lee got attacked for nothing. I think you owe her an apology.

Just wondering, why do you keep having the idea that it is impossible?

If its about me being a student, then it would be easier for me because her doors are always open to students. I can go in and out her room as i please. Just a knock on the door and I'm in. And she hears my suggestions.

Anonymous said...

Marcus, I know what you are trying to do. But, you are doing something which is impossible. How can we talk to someone who is not civilised at all. Even the current head prefect is not doing anything at all. Why you want to do until all of us lose respect towards you?? An advise for you, just step aside and take good care of your future.

Cathaj said...

you're already ruling out marcus' option when you could just ask him how he intend to do it. you're making a mountain out a molehill, friend.

if in his position he can do such a thing then the least we could do is give him a chance!

what are you, atheist?

Anonymous said...

No, I disagree. You parents, students want a way out of this mess you all created. So let Marcus handle it since he's shown commitment. Furthermore, he's willing to stand up FOR YOU people to arrange a meeting with the pengetua. ISN'T THAT WHAT YOU ALL WANT? Now let me emphasise that this mess was created by those (parents and students alike) who finds it a mess. You ppl here have a solution through Marcus but from what I observed you ppl don't really care about the school. It's all about backstabbing one another, name-calling and etc. This isn't cute anymore. It's pretty boring. Let Marcus handle this "meeting", parents pls show up and vomit all your concerns towards her, and end this. It's sickening since this blog was set up a year ago and nothing much has been done . Although this blog was set up to "keep you posted about the situation in the school" what's the point of knowing the situation when you ppl can't bloody act. Furthermore, when someone has the balls to offer a solution, you all just shot him down. So to those who shot him down, especially justice bao, kindly suggest a better way. If not, let Marcus handle it and if he fails in his aim, then you all have the right to discredit him.

Marcus Lim said...

Note, I'm taking this as a discussion. A place to discuss.

Well, sometimes i wonder who is the civilized party. As you can see, if you were at the PIBG or Aug 2 meeting, parents were shouting and name calling and vulgarly showing off their temper. While the admin of the school, on the other hand, waited patiently to be given a chance to explain themselves.

Even the teachers and students saw it, parents go to meetings to discriminate the admin of the school, not solve the problem.

The current Head Prefect isn't doing anything because he already has enough in his hands. I know, i was there before. He got duties and his academics to juggle around. Leave him out of this.

If you can give us examples of their uncivilized ways, please note it down. Give us something to compare with. Then we will agree with you.

And since you feel it is impossible to deal with someone like them, please suggest your method of resolving the matter. I'm open to all suggestions and opinions.

Marcus Lim said...

I think i know who you are Justice Bao. You've used this nickname before in school....
HMM...

Marcus Lim said...

one more thing Justice Bao. I'm asking this sincerely. I what way have i lost your respect. i Just want to know. What have i done to lose the respect.

All i did was offer my help to resolve the issue because i know i can organize a meeting between both parties if and only if the parents would allow it. Which I was certain they would because they care more of their children future then themselves.

Anonymous said...

To Cathaj and Constantine, i don't mean to shoot Marcus down. I even mentioned that he should take care of his future because that affects him the most. To those who read this comment, can you list down all her contribution to our school??? Talking about civilisation, the person who were late , made parents waiting during the PIBG Meeting and didn't respect the parents at all is WHO???? This is UNCIVILISED!!! Regarding about arranging the meeting, if she really want to have a meeting with parents, please show the agenda to us, then we'll decide whether it is necessary for us to meet her. To Marcus, stop making assumption about who I am. I can tell you, I'm your friend. I'm just taking care of you. It's better for you to take care of your future rather than involving yourself in this issue. A sincere advise from your friend.

Marcus Lim said...

In what way did they not respect the parents?

I agree with you that she was late. And that she was wrong at that.

At the same time, the parents reacted in such a way that even the students lost respect for the parents. They shouldn't have reacted in such an explosive manner.

For now, i believe one of the ways to resolve this matter is to get that Aug 2 meeting minutes out. Everything has been explained and cleared in that meeting. The only problem now is that only those who were present knows the answers.

That is exactly what we need. The parents dissatisfaction of what has happened in the past year. With that, we can organize the meeting with the agenda.

For now, I'm working on getting the Aug 2 meeting minutes out since everything has been answered in that meeting, according to parents I have spoken to.

Unless it is necessary, then we shall organize the meeting once more.

Marcus Lim said...

Justice Bao.

Your wisdom and foresight in these matters would prove useful to us.

Would you like to join us to resolve these issues. Once again, i say this, i am on neither sides for neither sides have any hard evidence to back them up. I am very sure you aware of that.

I am only here for the truth.
Since I do not have access to the parent who are involved, I went to the closest source of information and that is the admin themselves.

That is all.

Help us? You may remain as Justice Bao. We will be needing your opinion on certain matters in the near future. Perhaps you can provide a way for us to communicate privately.

She is fearful of the parents, fear of getting "relieved" from her post. We're just playing a game of cat and mouse, with the pengetua being the mouse.

Let marcus plan the meeting, if he suceeds, good news for us. If he fails, just come up with another strategy. I don't see the point in shooting his ideas down, none of you seem to be coming up with any better ideas...

Gee,looks like the "impossible" has been proven possible.

Who would've expected an ex-student to walk into the school office and collect the august minutes on one fine morning?

Would a parent have done the same?

I guess this has completely ruled out your presumptions of this(Marcus negotiating with the penegtua) being TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE.

Marcus has pushed the barriers of the status quo and proved many of you wrong.Him being student doesn't make him incapable of solving the school's matters. Furthermore, this also proves the pengetua isn't as barbaric as you think she is.I'm sure it takes a civlized person to negotiate this outcome with Marcus.

Ladies and gentlemen, there you have it, a civilized woman.I don't see her going around spitting in people's faces or kicking your shins for fun.Do you?

Justice Bao,calling her uncivilized just because she came late?

Fellow students,Justice Bao has declared that we should all call our teachers uncivilized when they come late for class!

I really hope Justice Bao's mentality doesn't get adopted by any of us.Schools of Malaysia would undergo a period of mutiny and sedition if that were to happen.

In a matter of days or hours,I have a feeling this will be thrown at me.

''She supports the pengetua! She's been brainwashed!Sprinkle holy water on her!''

So,before that happens,I'm going to express myself as being neutral, supporting neither Pn. Lee nor the penegtua, only wishing the best for my school and have not been brainwashed.

I only comment on what I think is considered irrelevant.

That is all.

Oh, and to those of you who do not know the true definition of uncivilized, here's a link to the definition

*Shakes head*

Pn Sow, the office clerk and myself saw the whole 1000 over sets of report in the office. Everyone was suppose to receive them. Not the 'many' parents only. EVERYONE.

Why are you complaining? What are you trying to prove? How is attacking me helping the situation? What benefit do you get from all this? Really. I'm very curious of your intentions.

To Justice Bao.
The latest i heard was parents wanted the minutes because everything was explained there.
Let me emphasize that.

Everything has been explained in the minutes.

So if there are issues that parents are still unhappy about, do list them out, get a group of parents and go see her personally.

That is 'If a group of parents'. Not just you. A group of parents still want a meeting because they have certain issues that they want to discuss about, then we will organize one.

If not, it would be unnecessary to organize a meeting if there is nothing to discuss. Isn't it not?

Justice Bao, i think you might need to take over if you would like to. I have been selected to go for NS and I am in the First Batch which is 27 Dec 2008 to 10th March 2009. I won't be around.

I really hate petty arguements but if that's how you want it, so be it.

My dear Justice Bao,

Yes,I am a mere 14 year-old to you but I believe age does not matter as how Abraham Lincoln had once put it.

"And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years."

Haven't seen the real world(or is it YOUR WORLD)? Oh,I must be living in some fantasy world full of unicorns and gummy bears to not see reality. Reality check, you don't exactly know me well enough to know what I haven't seen. Before you go around telling people to open their eyes, why don't you open YOUR OWN EYES?

Furthermore, exactly WHO are you to assert the fact that I'm just some dense 14 year-old? My mother? My best friend? Riiight. In fact, I don't even know who you are!Honestly,I don't appreciate your cowardice. No ,I just don't appreciate all anonymous people.

Know what?I bet you my 2 cents you only know me because I posted my profile.

If you know me from school then I guess I'm not that young after all now, am I?

Btw,in your your comment posted on December 10, 2008 9:02 PM, you said ,"I am not a coward."

But my dear, you truly are one! Oh, a cheeky lil' hypocrite you are. Didn't you notice you're hiding your identity behind the name Justice Bao? I'm perplexed by how you of all people fail to notice that. That's why it pays to open your own eyes too^^

Of course, you were replying to Cathaj's foresight but darling, don't let prudence escape you as there are people watching your every move.

''I know , you know, all of us know.........''

Oh ,I'm sure we all know our own definitions for 'uncivilized' but dear, you must understand that not everyone can grasp your perception of the word 'uncivilized'.

My sincerest apologies for being the dumb 14 year-old I am but frankly,I'll admit,I really don't comprehend your definition of 'uncivilized'.

Won't you help a poor lil' lost child? I think many would like to know why some call the pengetua barbaric. This would be a first glimpse into the mind of a may I say, 'anti-' pengetua.

I hope it's not too much to ask of you but I assure you, it'll only take a few minutes :)

I really,really want to know.

Please and thank you ;)

And also, i encouraged students to stay out of it while they are still studying in the school because their main purpose is to focus on getting excellent results.

Since i am out of the school like you said. I have more time. And also it is the Dec holidays. Instead of just partying and lazying around, i decided to do something useful. And that is to help get the minutes out.

Many Form 1s, Form 2s and Form 3s have already received the minutes. They told me. So if you're a student of SMKBUD4, you should receive it soon.

Its just a matter of time.

So that is why i did not open my 'big mouth' when i was still in school.

Dear Students, i still encourage all of you to stay out of this and focus on your acedemics. Until and unless you have finished SPM, stay out.

Hello =D,

I'm a student of SMK BUD 4.

Enough of that, my point of view on the 'discussions' that have been going on here:

1. Why are you people arguing when you could be working hand-in-hand to resolve this issue? Isn't that what everyone wants? Maybe it isn't? If it isn't, then you shouldn't be commenting here in the first place. You should just make yourself disappear.

2. Why are certain people on this blog being attacked personally? This blog was 'born' in the best interests of the school, or was it?? You shouldn't be attacking people, you should be commenting on their opinions and working towards an agreement. If everyone agrees on something, problem solved.

3. I agree, it's not easy to make everyone agree on something. The chances are probably zero to none. However, pen is being put to paper on agreements all over the world. It is not always that there is a 100% acceptance of an agreement but the agreement is still signed. Similiarly, we should be aiming to get the majority of people to agree on a solution.

4. I don't see how taking sides is going to help the cause. From what I have learned, there are two sides. Neither of these sides seem to be stepping forward in the interest of solving the problem. If we are only going to support our own side, then the other side would surely not win, and vice-versa. Though, I may be wrong.

5. Last but not least, the 'problems' being faced by the school hasn't directly effected me as of yet. Sure, I am angry at certain things that have happened, but I just have to carry on with school.

I would like to state that I am not taking sides and I am Neutral. I have not been brainwashed and I am thinking clearly.

Oh, and I do not fancy people hiding their identity with 'Anonymous' and other 'screens'. It is clear that you are not brave enough to face the challenges that would most definitely fly into your face. Maybe that is why you don't want to take any action in dealing with this problem?? You're too scared?

I had received a copy of the minutes of the aug 9th temu mesra meeting and i am disappointed with the way the minutes of that important meeting was recorded.
Firstly it shouldn't have taken so long ie more than 4 mths for them to come out with the minutes - afterall there were a lot of important issues raised and the committee present at that meeting were 'committed' to follow up on those issues raised.
The minutes did not truly reflect other important issues raised particularly the one that points to the PIBG constitution where the committee and the Pengetua contravened one section that required a certain number of members present before that commitee meeting can be convened and issues raised to be passed. This is important as it shows the ignorance of all concerned and the crux of the matter is when an expenditure of a high sum is passed without the proper number of quorum required!
I am appalled with the present committee for passing this minutes and of course the pengetua has a hand in this as well.I supposed that's how good partnership works!
Why have this important meeting where important and crucial matters discussed were not properly presented and if things were improperly handled and done the committee and the pengetua should admit their wrong doings and hopefully mistakes will not be repeated in future and proper guidelines should be strictly followed.
Such facts should be made known to the Jabatan so that they are aware and perhaps they too can come out with a stricter guideline for the school heads to follow and not play ignorance.
Such is this sad state of affairs and is this the way the school is heading towards -??

Anonymous said...

Oh Finally some constructive comments.

Thank you saddened.

Now the school and PIBG committee needs to know about this and would you willingly inform them so that these mistakes would not be repeated in the future.

I strongly believe one person cannot solve everything. So if anyone else has anymore comments like Saddened it would be much appreciated if the comment be directed to the school in a constructive manner like Saddened.

Thank you, Saddened once again.

To Hui Min, I accept your apology . I know that you are not mature enough. Wait for a few years and you will DISCOVER the REAL world. To YOUHAN, since Marcus wants to solve the problems, then I just gave him some advise. Why are you so mad???? You shall talk in a proper manner. Talking about maturity, I think that I'm better than you. If you have any ideas or opinion, just voice out. Why you prefer to waste time and argue about whether I'm mature or not? This is not the main problem!!! So, Pls THINK CAREFULLY before you talk.

Dear Marc - you and many others are probably not aware of the discrepancies found in the minutes - maybe you were not present during the meeting but what excuse can the current committee and those present got to say when they were there at the meeting and yet they allowed this complacent and irresponsible act to go through?
Firstly they didn't get all the names right and names were missing from the list of attendes and of course the way the minutes were presented it clearly took away the responsibilities of the committee both present and past and of course without the insistence of the pengetua it cannot be possible.
The pengetua feels she has not done wrong and that it is the works of a small group of 'cari pasal' parents that stir things up for her and if i am not mistaken she mentioned the names of those parents and said they will transfer their children out and there will not be anymore trouble for her!
Two Wrongs DON'T make a Right! When things don't go right we want to make the necessary corrections- who would be in the right frame of mind to make life difficult for her afterall she is the head of the school she should deserve the right respect and parents are there to support her PROVIDED things are done correctly and fairly.

Justice Bao, my apology wasn't enough for you to answer my simple question? How rude of you to brush me off like that.I suppose my courtesy wasn't accounted for so I might as well don't try.

Perhaps you didn't understand the first time so I'll make this more clear and direct.

I AM A WOMAN WHO DOES NOT UNDERSTAND YOUR FEELINGS.

Exactly WHAT makes the pengetua so barbaric to you?

Don't tell me its because of her punctuality and don't tell me its because of her TOTAL lack of respect for parents.

On December 7 2008 at 10:22 A.M.you said, "didn't respect the parents at all is WHO???? This is UNCIVILISED!!!"

Notice the "at all".

Who are you to speak on her behalf? That would be just like me saying you absolutely hate your mother which is not necessarily true.

Besides, maybe she does have a right to disrespect SOME parents.Clearly, some just don't deserve it.I know I for one don't respect some.

No,I'm not trying to solely shoot you down.

I just want to understand the Anti-Pengetuas better.Since you're the only persistent Anti-Pengetua around,it's best we understand how YOU feel.

Btw,you expressed ever-so-clearly in your past posts about how against the pengetua you are so I don't think I'm wrong in labelling you as Anti-Pengetua.

Justice Bao,why can't you give some constructive criticism just like saddened?

Maybe the reason why so many people choose to argue with you is because you say a lot of unecessary things.

For example,on Dec 15 at 12:14 A.M. you said ''You shall talk in a proper manner.'' to our dear YouHan.

Is that suppose to be an order? You're talking just like his mother. That sounded imperiously demanding to me. Did your mother ever teach you manners?

Lo and behold,my dear, you have a problem with role-playing.

Enough of that.

Right now,the floor is open. You may take it whenever you wish.

I'm sure all we want is constructive criticism, not your mindless jabberings.

Or any other mindless jabberings for the record -.-''

Dear Saddened,

Yes, i agree we are unaware of the discrepancies found in the minutes. And you seem like a person who is fully aware of them. And we need to know their mistakes so we can focus on the problem and solve them.

We expect them to give some sort of excuse, at the same time wouldn't you agree that coming up with a solution would be much more valuable then hearing their excuses? What you have shown us all here is that you are not interested in excuses and finding out who screwed up, but you are more interested in making sure these mistakes do not repeat in the future.

Personally, i feel the blaming game takes us no where. Like you said, "When things don't go right we want to make the necessary corrections" i strongly support that statement. What bothers me is the method of corrections some people are using.

A few of us has spoken to the admin personally. We went in and presented our case very similarly to the way you presented the problems at hand here. And they accepted it.

And they said, i quote, "We are open to constructive criticism."

Some people are blinded from their mistakes. And they need the support and help from their fellow peers to recognize their mistakes and correct them. And that was all we needed.

Saddened, with your permission, i would like to be in contact with you more often. So far, i gather that

1. Names were missing from the list of attendees
2. Minutes were presented in a way it favored the current committee
3. Certain issues raised were missing

Please correct me if i misunderstood you.

Saddened, i admire your maturity. You must be one of the genuine adults here commenting.
If you're just a student, you are very very matured and i admire that.
Hope to keep in touch.

By the way,kiss-ass crap? I don't see your comments being constructive. No, not at all.

Hui Min said...

One more thing,Justice Bao, I'm perceiving that you think I'm immature because I can't see the pengetua as a barbarian which is,undeniably what you think(pengetua being a barbarian).

I'm only thinking that because when I ask you what's so barbaric about the pengetua, you simply answer me with ''You're not mature enough. You haven't seen the REAL world.''

So, may I assume you think I can't rationalize the pengetua's 'barbaric' actions because I'm too young?

If so,then I'd like to remind you I've been taking up a subject called Pendidikan Moral ever since the tender age of 7. I think I pretty much understand the difference between right and wrong.

If I'm really that dumb then please, spell it out for me if you must.

If not, forgive me for misunderstanding you.Pardon my ignorance as you have not been very clear in your comments. They're often bewildering and ambiguous so please take note of that.

I suppose I'm only picking on this because from all your comments,I can find only one and only,ONE advice(which is repeated a lot)

''Marcus shouldn't waste his precious time here.He can never negotiate with a person with such mentality. We are far more civilized than her.Barbarian.''

That just about sums up your constructive criticism.

Come up with some better ahem...HELPFUL ones the next time.

Why am I here? since I don't currently have a problem with the pengetua,I'm here to understand why people do.

Dear Marc
If the school and the people concerned with the administration and the pibg committee are genuine about making the right changes they should act professionally and honest in their approach. I sincerely wish you the best in your endeavours to help them make the amendments - only time will tell whether your mission is possible.
I suppose you will be off to further your education - perhaps this is a stepping stone for you to understand the complexities of the human race.
Good Luck and take care, cheers to a merry x'mas and a wonderful happy safe New Year too.

Anonymous said...

Hey, since when was this blog about Marcus Lim? Why is everyone arguing and blaming each other while the main problem is left unscathed? To those who have negative comments to say to marcus, why don't you say it to his face? Maybe the administrator should open a forum for ppl like you guys to bitch and counter bitch. Not that i agree with all that Marcus says, but he is trying to help at least, so hear him out for a while. And guys, there is no need to get all worked up with all the comments from anonymous posters. Arguing with them just makes you as low as them.

Anonymous said...

I agree with maddened for his/her comment above.

Indeed I am also disappointed with the current issue that is going on.
First it was about the pengetua. And now? People are bombarding each other with unpleasant comments. A very good example is how Marcus is being criticized like mad. Just because he intends to help by holding a meeting between the parents and the pengetua, doesn't mean that he should be treated in that way. What can you get by having Marcus criticized for his actions? Nothing. Instead, it would lead to arguements as it is already happening in this blog. But then again, what was the reason for the admin to set up this blog? It is of course for discussions about the school. However, this blog has become a "war zone".

As a student of this school, I would of course like the issue of the pengetua to be solved. So, since there is Marcus who is willing to help, why not give him a chance? If he succeeds, then it is good news for the students, and parents. Even if he fails, at least there is/was someone who tried. Don't get me wrong, I am not on Marcus' side.

If anyone of you do not agree with Marcus, tell him personally rather than writing here. I am sure that he accepts feedback.

Well, I am just a student and might not know much about this. Write me off if you like but I personally would not suggest that as I am afraid that more "word wars" would start. At least I did my part as a student of this school by voicing out my opinion in this blog.

Thank you very much.

By picking fights with anonymous posters? It's not worth it. Everyone please contribute to the main discussion. Besides the pengetua, the school also seems to be losing most of their experienced staff of teachers. As a result, many students will look to find a new school away from all these problems. E.G: most of my friends will be leaving next year. The PIBG should be the main culprit in all of these issues, especially chairman Tony Sio. Why isn't the PIBG brave enough to stand up to the HM? As for the parents, there was a petition letter handed out for the parents to unanimously vote the HM out. However, most of the parents are all talk but no action. All afraid their children will be targeted. Be realistic la, do you think the HM has so much time to waste? Already she has bigger problems to deal with. In the unlikely case of the pengetua leaving, I presume that Puan Zubaidah will follow suit and hand in a transfer request.

I don't know how i can help, but I am willing to lend a hand.

For those who have not received the Aug 9 minutes, it can easily be printed out from the school website, or you'll receive it soon enough.

By the way, were there minutes for the PIBG meeting? As far as I know, many issues were raised there. Perhaps that's the key to address the problems. Not to mention, the 'petition letter' given out to students a few months ago. It's a compilation of reasons parents wanted the pengetua out, albeit some are unreasonable.

I don't see how else we can solve whatever at hand. Parents seem to be keeping silent, this site is mainly filled with comments from students and outsiders. So, what REALLY is the problem?

As saddened mentioned, the Aug 9 minutes seem to lack things. Thank you for getting it out anyway Marc. I was not present there, so no comments. Admin, please voice out.

All the best (:

I agree with Timothy, Why does it matter if she is in MYMUN? For your information, I am in MYMUN too. I don't see a reason why that should come into this conversation. You are just throwing oil into the fire. If you ask me, saying that is disrespectful of the MYMUN Club. So my advice to you, Use Proper Words When You Try To Give Comments To Show That You Are Civilized Enough. Sound Familiar??

Anonymous said...

Alright guys!!
I think that's about enough.
I'm really sorry i have to say this but i think it is important.

1. It doesn't matter if they shot marcus down. It really doesn't. He achieved my goal, and they know it. And that is to get the minutes out

2. For your information, everyone of us here are barbaric of uncivilized to a certain extend. Yes, including myself. So there's not use pointing fingers and blaming. It doesn't help anyone.

3. This is a discussion blog. Students who want to criticize people, this is not the right place. This is a place for parents to voice out their opinions in a discussion manner.

4. The best part about being human, is tolerance. With tolerance, everything is achievable. Humans, for so many years, sat down and talk and they all end up agreeing on certain points. And they solve it. So grow up, and do the same.

5. JB, Char Siew Bao, Hui Min, timothy. What do you get from arguing and attacking each other with nice sharp words. Maybe you get a certain high from it, but it really isn't helping. If you count properly, out of 157 comments(there's this much when im writing this comment), only a handful are useful.

6. Most of you attack each other by saying the other person's comment is useless. But don't you think by wasting one comment space, you are adding to the useless list of comments?

Thank you.

Does that even matter!!

This are exactly the kind of people who are wasting our time. I say we discuss about doing something. Since the parents believe it's their responsibility to resolve this issue, why not you make up a plan?? Then, we students could help make the plan a success. We may not be able to do much since we are 'JUST STUDENTS', but we definitely have more passion about our school than most of the parents. I said 'MOST'. Passion can bring us a long way.

Only a student's friend would do so. Or JB, used Char Siew Bao's name, and do it.

Conclusion, JB is a student

I used the word barbaric because uncivilized is a tad bit tedious to type out.I also said barbarian because I'm too lazy to type out 'uncivilized person'.

barbaric(8 letters):uncivilized(11 letters)

I'm sure any smart person would do that too.Simple Mathematics.

I hope you can see the light by now. If you're still unsatisfied with my explanation, go Google it up yourself.

Oh,and tell your child I'm flattered and that s/he's too kind. Being in MYMUN neither strenghtens my aptitude(my advice, read) in English nor requires me to speak in my finest English everywhere I go.

Quite frankly,I don't see where I went uncivilized in my post.Could you point it out for me?

I didn't spot any 'b*tch' or 'hag'

Well said,JJ.

"It is with our passions as it is with fire and water; they are good servants, but bad masters." ~Roger L'Estrange, Aesop's Fables, 1692

Passion is a great source of fuel for actions. It can be passionate love or on the other hand, passionate hatred.

Ladies and gentlemen,I call upon all of you to take control over that ever-burning passion in your hearts.

Use it.

Use it for our one true cause, the one cause that WE ALL agree upon.

To save our school.

With that being said,I take this oppurtunity to take my final bow.

I HOPE.

I just want to say that Hui Min's good command of language. I didn't say that being a member of MYMUN is a crime. Why you guys always misunderstand what I say? And, I don't care you guys believe whether I am a parent or not. I just want you guys to use proper words to give comments. You guys can't even understand simple English sentence and talk nonsense.

I came here and talked useless things as anonymous so I'm gonna apologize as anonymous.

I'm sorry for all the useless things I talked about.

I don't want to be put to shame by a 14 year-old so I'm going to admit I was wrong too. Some 14 year-old just acted diplomatically about this matter whereas some parents failed to do so.

Again,I am sorry.

Tho,I think the pressure is more on the people who have nicknames and real names because people know they're there.

Let's be honest.Justice Bao,Char Siew Bao, Hui Min, Timothy, and a lot more others have bombarded this blog with unnecessary things.

Hui Min has admitted she was wrong. What about the others? If they don't apologize, they make themselves seem as people who hate admitting they're wrong, afraid of losing.KIASU.

No wonder this blog can't come up with any final decisions. Most people here don't like facing reality when they're wrong.Shameful, especially for PARENTS.

No,stating the pengetua is uncivilized or whatever mentality doesn't help resolve anything. What are you gonna do? Kick her out of the school? Some things are easier said than done.

Justice Bao,including MYMUN into the discussion was uncalled for.You can just say someone told you Hui Min's English is good.

Debating whether Justice Bao is a man or a woman is also useless.

Showing-off your pirate accent is useless.

So is pretending to be soulja boy.

Coming here arguing with each other is useless.

Lot more things were useless.

So, those who have wrote unnecessary comments.

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

and people can see if you're some kiasu freak who hates admitting you're wrong.

Now enough of this nonsense. Could someone actually get any of their bright ideas into this blog?? We are in dire need of some..

And also, thanks to the anon who posted useless stuff as anon. HAHA. i like your latest post. Very constructive. Thanks!

Now since we're all here, let's start cracking with some ideas!!

Oh, and please send your appreciations to Pn Sow.

I believe she deserves some credit in making the school a better place to study in

Justice Bao. As a committee member of MYMUN, I feel it inappropriate that you have used my club as an excuse to criticize my fellow member's language proficiency. And if you want proper english from another person, please start with yourself. Thank you.

OMG. I haven't been looking at this blog for 1 day and now? So many harsh comments in this blog.

As a student, I am seriously disappointed with the people who are bombarding each other, either in a straight forward way or either in a sarcastic manner. Seriously, can't we all stop this nonsense and start having peace here?

Hui Min, as a friend of yours, I would strongly suggest you to ignore Justice Bao. By doing so, this "war zone" has a higher chances to end. If you don't, who knows when would this "word war" end? *sorry if I do hurt your feelings here*

And again, why can't we all unite instead of only posting harsh comments here? It is of no use doing these things. Trust me, I am sure that when other students from other school sees this, they will have a negative feeling of our school having students that like to bombard each other with such comments. This will then tarnish our school name. As students of this school, I am sure that we won't want our school reputation to drop just like that right?

Therefore, this blog is not a place to unleash such comments. Sorry if I hurt anyone's feeling here and thank you for reading this comment.

PS: I am Mr Someone Who Cares from my previous comments.

3. This is a discussion blog. Students who want to criticize people, this is not the right place. This is a place for parents to voice out their opinions in a discussion manner.

December 17, 2008 12:02 AM

The comment above is indeed a good one. I fully support it.

Remember, criticizing people is easy to do but why do it when we can always settle things in a more appropriate manner? One word - Unity. So instead of criticizing, we should discuss; which serves the point of why this blog is being set up. Come to think of it, when we criticize people, we are indirectly criticizing ourselves because it reflects on our manners. Make sense right?

Well, that's all I can say to convince people to stop treating this blog as a place to unleash harsh comments on others even if they are wrong. There is always an alternative way to solve it.

Thank you very much for reading this comment. =)

So you finally realise your a moron? Marcus went to NS? Omg? Is this God's gift to this blog?

TBH, Hui Min, you're only here to pick a fight with ppl like justice bao and other anonymous users. You're just wasting your time. There is no need to retaliate to all their disses. If there's nothing good to say, then don't say it.

Moving on about the minutes..

- why is out only now when the school year has ended? There should be a total overhaul of the PIBG committee. Mr Sio is certainly not the right person to be chairman. Also, there are some rumours that his son has transferred out. I cant confirm this. Lastly, why haven't the important and controversial issues been highlighted and pointed out?

Anonymous said...

Any questions about the minutes should be directed to the school. Not here. The admin, or anyone in this blog cannot answer on the school's behalf. Thank you

And btw

With all due respect Anonymous, I believe Hui Min has already apologized for what she has done and has realized her shortcomings. You need not remind her about it. It's a blatant waste of my time, your time and everyone else's time. Therefore, I strongly believe that the said issue has been resolved.

And by the way, what she said was something good to say. She was encouraging people to come together and resolve this issue as one. That's exactly the kind of attitude we need if we are ever going to hope for a non-problematic school. She has stepped forward and apologized. If more people do the same, we will be that much closer to a solution

- then why are you stupid enough to waste your time replying my comment? If you think my advice is a waste of time, don't read it. Looking back at your past comments, you haven't posted anything related to the minutes which Marcus managed to get hold of. You are just here to argue for your friend's sake. Honestly, i don't think any of you can find the solution for this conundrum (no disrespect, i don't think i can either), so please, your actions speak louder than your comments. If you want to help, then let Marcus and other people who truly can help discuss the issue. Bu thank you for encouraging everyone here, it's about time people stopped this argument about marcus. The PIBG need to get their act together and resolve this issue. It is stated that the PIBG are able to have a unanimous say on whether the HM is fit to lead this school. However, Mr Tony Sio is not willing to commit himself. This is because the HM is threatening to sue him over the issue of sponsor funds from the advert boards behind the school. This 2009, all parents should not vote Mr Sio as chairman. ( highly unlikely he will run for the post)

I sincerely apologize for that mistake. It was a wrong choice of words. However, I am not 'stupid' to reply to your comment. I stated that I believe the issue has been resolved. By doing that, I am helping to put an end to another one of the arguments in this blog and 'clean' up the area.

Regarding the minutes, I don't feel a need to post here as I have already discussed it with a few other people. Posting here would just be repeating the same conversations already put out. Furthermore, my points of concern over the minutes have already been highlighted in previous comments. No use just repeating it over and over again.

And no, I'm not here to argue just for my friend's sake. I'm here to help put an end to a problem. I shall not repeat what I said earlier seeing that you probably read it already.

Oh, and I believe none of us can find a solution by ourselves either. However, if we work together, we may just get an idea. And then maybe another idea and so on.

So, Anonymous, how's about we just stop arguing over petty matters and actually try to get things done?

Oh, and I strongly suggest you change your screen name so that we can distinguish you from other Anonymous'. You don't have to put your name. Just put something so we can recognize you. It causes a lot of confusion.

Ah. Understood. HAHA..

ladies and gentlemen, please listen.

there are 189 comments adding mine would make it a round figure of 190.

i would like all of you to read all the above comments and make a general conclusions.

what was the main problem?
not getting the PIBG report?

but that has already been solved.

so what is the other problem?
bad-mouthing marcus, hui min, JJ, justice bao and etc?

don't you think it's pointless?

someone mentioned that it's time for constructive ideas to be shared to others. the next person supported the cause but i don't see any good ideas to resolve the issue.

anyway,
what's the issue?
i myself am baffled and absolutely clueless of the issue that is troubling many.

can someone please enlighten me on what is the issue being debated here?

i thank you in advance.

next point:

don't you think it's pointless to try and get rid of the headmistress when THE WORLD needs us to get rid of many other things?

global warming, wide usage of plastic bags, water crisis in Asia, world poverty, terrorism, economy crisis and etc. needs our attention more than Zabedah.

have you done your part in recycling?

have you considered being more environmental friendly?

these issues will further prolong into the future affecting the generations that will follow suite. our children are all in danger because we're not doing our part to save the environment.

yes i might be preaching and YES you might argue that this blog is used for the discussion of school affairs. i'm just here to enlighten all of us about the state of the environment and etc.

consider yourself lucky to be able to get an education when children in India have to resort to helping their parents in the field.

zabedah is just a human being, so are all of us. i strongly believe that she will see her mistakes one day. she might be using our school to reap rewards from the jabatan.

or maybe what she's doing is for the good of us students. maybe she's doing it in a wrong way.

MAYBE she's trying to beautify the school to win the 3K (kebersihan, keceriaan, keselamatan) award for the fame of the school's name.

so i urge all of you to think about the greater things in the world that needs our immediate attention.

embrace love and avoid gossiping/bitching/ass kissing.

thanks for reading.

1)so what is the other problem?
bad-mouthing marcus, hui min, JJ, justice bao and etc?

answer: PROBLEM SOLVED.

2)Anyway,what's the issue?
i myself am baffled and absolutely clueless of the issue that is troubling many.

answer: I thought you said you read all 189 comments? I guess you didn't.

3)don't you think it's pointless to try and get rid of the headmistress when THE WORLD needs us to get rid of many other things?

answer: Don't you think you should shut the f*ck up you infidel? Zabedah is the worst thing that has ever happened to our school. She is like cancer, and we are the body cells. I presume you're the faeces.

4)global warming, wide usage of plastic bags, water crisis in Asia, world poverty, terrorism, economy crisis and etc. needs our attention more than Zabedah.

answer: Haven't you heard of international bodies like UN and WWF? As for terrorism, why don't you blame idiots in Iraq, Pakistan and Palestine?

5)zabedah is just a human being.

answer: Are you f*cking kidding me? Zabedah looks like some evil monster who belongs in an Alien vs Predator movie. Even ET resembles closer to a human than she will ever be. Plus, she's a lesbian. Its bad enough she is ugly as shit, but she is also a lesbian monster. Try googling the word HUMAN, i don't think you will ever get results like : LESBIAN MONSTER BITCH FROM HELL UNLEASHES EVIL FURY UPON SMKBUD4.

6) or maybe what she's doing is for the good of us students. maybe she's doing it in a wrong way.

answer: ZABEDAH, i know it's you writing this. Well, you know what? GO F*CK YOURSELF YOU F*CKING BITCH I HOPE YOU F*CKING BURN IN F*CKING HELL YOU F*CKING LESBIAN MONSTER BITCH!!!!!

( in the unlikely case that you're somebody else, all i can say is F*CK YOU YOU F*CKING LESBIAN MONSTER BITCH ASS KISSER. GO EAT SHIT YOU PIECE OF SHIT! YOU AND ZABEDAH ARE THE SHIT OF THE WORLD. PEACE MY ASS. YOU'RE A ''PEACE'' OF SHIT!

7) MAYBE she's trying to beautify the school to win the 3K (kebersihan, keceriaan, keselamatan) award for the fame of the school's name

answer: WOW, so you splash 20 grand on that for 1 freaking award? Not to mention, if the school wins, the pengetua will win the grand prize of a holiday trip from the jabatan. So, you think she really is working towards the fame of the school's name? Hehe, F*CK YOU.

8)so i urge all of you to think about the greater things in the world that needs our immediate attention.

answer: I urge you to F*CK OFF.

9)embrace love

answer: F*CK YOU LESBIAN.

10) thanks for reading.

answer: My pleasure.

answer: I thought you said you read all 189 comments? I guess you didn't.

unquote.

yes i have heard of international bodies such as UN and WWF but what they have been doing so far have reached deaf ears.

many people are still using plastic bags recklessly thus leaving huge carbon footprints.

let me just ask you on whether you have done your part as a human being in battling the issues against environment.

do you try and recycle?

anyways,
yes i used to HATE zabedah really much. anyone who comes to me talking about her will be replied with swears and curses unknown to even the most skilled street talker.

but what is the point of hating her so much. call me a freak, call me a pro-zabedah, CALL ME WHATEVER!

however, i have realise the need to open your minds. sometimes what one does might seem pretentious or wrong but eventually it might blossom into something else.

if she's doing something bad then by all means let's gather evidence (CONCRETE EVIDENCE) to exile her.

don't just spread gossips and rumours -- find out from her the real reason. i believe parents can do this favour for us in the next meeting if there is.

to parents:

please mantain calm at all times. i know we have a strong prejudice against her but still we should always let someone else explain themselves before making a conclusion.
