Last year there was alot of issues raised but as time goes on, the Pengetua was given a chance to redeem herself. A few issues still pending.
The computer class or rather Cyber Club has been dissolved. If not mistaken, this action was necessary to prevent students from logging onto undesirable sites. The question is this, wouldnt you prefer the students to stay in school surfing the internet under control conditions (ie with allowed sites) than for them to hang around some cyber cafe in town. This was debated heavily during the previous Pengetua and in the end it was decided to have the cyber club so that more students are encourage to use the computer and to do so within the school environment.
Last year there was huge debate and arguement on the "Bakat Malam". It was then switched to "Hari Bakat" with a huge success. From reliable source - it seem that this year the "BAKAT" thing has been totally cancelled. The word BAKAT simply means talent. Wouldn't the school wants to explore the talents of the students. What is wrong with a few dances and band performances. If this is bad - then we should also ban all concerts (local and oversesa artist), stopped the sales of CDs, banned MTV from airing through Astro and lastly banned all radio stations from playing any form of music. The BAKAT event is a traditional event held in the school and it's look forward to by many students and parents.
For the Chinese New Year lion dance - I have already said my peace. Reports arised was that there is insufficient funds to carry out this event. I dont want to bring up last year issue on the spending of the PIBG funds on unncessary item.
