Welcome Mr KL Tay - the New Pengetua of SMKBUD4

On the 2nd March 2009, Mr. KL Tay officially became the Pengetua of SMKBUD4. His presence is welcome by all students, teachers as well as parents.
Let's us all welcome him to the school and look forward his leadership in re-shaping the standard of education of the school to the highest level possible.
Once again I want to thank all those who have contributed unselfishly to this website with the objective in improving the education standard of the school.
Let us all put the past behind us and and move ahead to a bright 2009 and after. And like the famous quote by Winston Churchill.
"If we open a quarrel between past and present, we shall find that we have lost the future".
The blog will be maintained but with the objective to promote the quality of the school and the teachers who have contributed to the well being of all the students.
And as before, any foul language or any comments made to attack an individual for personal resaons will be automatically deleted.

I totally support your notion - no point dwelling in past mistakes which we can't change, it is today and the future that we need to work on. The new direction this blog is taking should invite positive comments and feedback interactively regarding school matters so that constructive changes can be made to improve the school's standard.
Bad habits are easily adopted while good ones are harder to keep. Students who so often use vulgarities (foul language)to express themselves will find it hard to change and this may carry on into their adult life and disadvantage themselves socially in all aspects of their work environment as well as their personal lives.
Using foul language doesn't make you more 'macho' or stronger in the eyes of people and friends.
Make your views and comments felt by using proper english to express yourself creatively.

Only the coward will hide behind hateful words, and from his command of the cantonese, his vocabulary is rather limited too. Reveal yourself, be a MAN

I am one of the parents whose child just got his SPM results.

A special thanks to all the teachers who last year were very depressed with the situation in the school and yet NEVER neglected their duties and committment in teaching our children.

The good results this year has ABSOLUTELTY NOTHING of Puan Zabedah's doing. As a matter of fact she did NOTHING and even delayed the "Class Tambahan" till the last minute.

The good results were due to the committment of the teachers and parents who have invested alot in our children's tuition fee. If she comes back I will get all the parents together and send her a debit note of all our expenses (which shall include both tuition fee and petrol consumption).

Daer readers/students/parents and fellow bloggers..
Allow me topinch a sentence from one of the comments posted earlier..
"Last year, both SPM and PMR examination resulted in lots of straight "A"'s students and this year in the SPM, a student scored 16 A's. Despite the issues in the school.."
First of all, without the students, there is no staright As to talk about so first and foremost appaluse should go to the students themselves who have student deligently to achieve the good results.
Secondly i believe the dedication and support of the parents are vital to ensure the students are allowed the opportunity to study in a cndusive enviroment be at home,in school or elsewhere.

Third and more important is the dedication and support of the school administration from the pengetua, the teachers and the support staff. Each of them play a vital roleand often time their contribution goes unnotice.
With Pn Zabedah, i can't but help notice that whatever she has done has gone unnoticed and swept under the carpet. Only her mistakes are highlighted.Surely she did not come to this schol with evil intentions.Surely it is not her intntion to bing havoc to this school. For if that was her intention it would most certainly tarnish her career and i don't think she or anyone for that matter would want to destroy their own career. Surely she must have contributed in some small way.
The teachers are definately a bunch of dedicated people.I had the opportunity to meet with some of them and i feel they are the best an school can ever hope to have.

I pray and hope the new pengtua will concentrate on whatever good that has been done and take it from there. All parents and the school admninistrative personnel should rally behind him to spur him on and try to achieve bette results.
He should start by providing the complete breakdown of this years PMR and SPM results.Let this years result be the benchmark. Then set targets for him to achieve eg :
1.At least 2 students to achieve
16 A's .
2. At least a 10% increase in
students achieving straight A's
3.At least 50% Students in the
3rd n 4th class (PMR or SPM)
to achieve at least 5 A's
4.At least 90% pass rate if not
better.
5 Resolve 100% of the parents
complaints that was catalogue at
the previous meet the parents
session organised by the PIBG.
6.Create a proper enviroment for students, teachers and parents to work together for a common objective...ie to enable our children to be educated peacefully.
