It seem that a new year has come and within a few days time, the Chinese will be welcoming the year of the Bull. Mandarin oranges and lion dances are a must to celebrate the Chinese culture that has around for thousand of years.
I would love to see what the school has planned for this Chinese New Year. Last year, there was alot of debates about the lion dance and also suggestion to have the lion dance without the drums. So what has been planned this year. I hope that the school has not forgotten the traditional that has been carried out for so many years.

No celebration this year. She didn't even wish us a happy chinese new year. She just said happy holidays. And when she's mentioned CNY before, she says "tahun baru" like the word cina is a taboo word or something.
P.S. She's cancelled hari/malam bakat too. And implementing a lot of new islam celebrations instead.

Hi, I'm not a student from your school, but I would like to just give my opinion.
First of all, your school is getting a very bad name because of this blog. They're even talking about it in my school.
Second, just because Abi isn't against your principle doesn't mean she likes her. She may be neutral, like she said. But she is just giving her thoughts. You have no rights to go against it.
And what she says is right. You aren't really against your principle if you don't have the guts to even use your own name here. Coward, is the right word.
And yes, you all shouldn't really making a big deal out of this AGAIN.
It's a new year. Maybe your principle will change. Give her time. You ppl are already going against her and it's only the first month of school!

Now, now , before we can use Islam celebrations as an excuse,I suggest we get some actual proof first.Did she really say we're gonne be celebrating Islam celebrations(for example,giving out free ketupats)this year like the way we used to celebrate CNY?
As for calling her racist, I think that term is overused.I've been reading the past comments and this is what I've been able to collect on why people call her racist on this current CNY issue.

The past years' CNY celebrations were organized by the PIBG and if i am not mistaken the president of the pibg initiated and contributed to organizing these activities.On behalf of parents and students we express our appreciation for his initiatives - i believed such activities helped foster closer ties among all students of multi-racial background. I remembered attending a CNY function one year and i could see almost everyone enjoyed the celebrations.
It is sad that this year we do not see such activities being organized anymore. What has the pibg done for us - or have they already resigned en masse??
I agree with the last comment written about the role of the Administrator - since you open up this topic and in a way instigated comments - what is your objective? Sincere or not you who profess to be the 'person who cares' you could have save the day and perhaps initiated a little mandarin orange giveaways to all.

Does not matter who organized the celebration previous years. Without the approval from the Pengetua, the parents have CAN NOT do anything.
but no one initiated it this year for the pengetua to approve hor? If no one tried, no one can conclude the pengetua would've definitely rejected the idea.
If anyone can confirm she completely rejected the idea, then please step forward and show your face.
If pengetua didn't organize anything for CNY because of recession, I agree with her. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, if she organizes many new islam celebrations during hari raya, then we have something to go against her. then what's the meaning to "recession"? after all, there are more chinese students in SMKBUD(4) and less malay students. whats her deal?

You should know we have been at her for almost a whole year now, not one month. Plus, you will never truly know why we hate her so much unless you're a chinese student in the school. This may sound very racist, but it is not. Why is it that we are only mad at her while more than half of the other teachers in the school are malays? It's because she has gone many lengths to remove the chinese influence of BU4. That is a very racist thing to do IMO. The indian students don't really feel targeted because the pengetua only seems to dislike chinese. Such antidiluvian and unethical way of thinking. Not what BU4 needs. BU4 is in a downfall all because of her immaturity. ( She is 50 sumtin i think..but she looks mid 70's from another planet)
Unfortunately, there is no unity among everyone to resolve this problem. If the PIBG were united, this monster would have been long transferred out of the school.
What is her problem? I don't know. Maybe she just hates chinese people . But that doesnt mean we hate malays, we just hate her in particular. Malaysia is a multiracial country that is beleaguered by racial issues. If we can set all these aside and just live and work peacefully, we would have achieved more than Singapore has atm .

I'm currently a student in this school. I would like to express what i think about all these issues.
Parents has tried a million times to get the pengetua out of the school. However, every time it is brought up to the district, something seems to cover it up. and nothing happen to the pengetua.
( I would love to hear from any parents who have the news regarding this)
Parents are not united? What else can the parents do? after all the trying, the pengetua is still standing there with her followers.
Students, you should be wise. Studies are always your first priority. Don't get involve in all these. Leave it to Your parents. What ever they can do, let them do it.
In my opinion, most people gave up on fighting with the pengetua. ( parents? its been quiet now and then)

You are absolutely right - parents are not united in their cause - the cause for a more sensitive and understanding pengetua - a truly genuine person whose priorities are for the welfare of all students and not just for the minority numbers. A person who teachers can look up to as a leader by example and not a religious fanatic whose experience only comes from rural areas.Many of our leaders are using religion as a tool to rule - the school is meant for providing a good education for our children and of course good education brings along good moral values and mutual respect for all races concerned. What is being practised here at BU4not only stir up racial sentiments among students but also teachers concerned.
I am speaking on behalf of a few of us who have gone through lengths to appeal to the jabatan for a change and you are right she got a very strong cable to protect her and at the end of the day it really sucks to know the rot is still there.
All i can say is parents must show unity and form a strong and committed pibg committee to fight the wrong and demand a more deserving pengetua to head the school!
She should have at least some respect for the chinese students. She teaches some classes in our school. And from what i heard, she usually uses words that show racism when she's teaching. Its always orang Melayu this, or orang Cina or orang India. She's the only teacher in this school who talks like this. Why cant she just say rakyat Malaysia or semua pelajar? She's categorizing us according to our race. Tell me, IS THAT RACIST ENOUGH OR NOT?
Even during perhimpunan, she uses phrases like ".....pelajar Melayu dan ......kepada pelajar pelajar lain." IS THAT BEING A RACIST?
If you say not, i suggest you get some help.
And when i say this, i say this with 100% confidence. She's the ONLY TEACHER in school who talks like this. All the other malay teachers treat the students like one race altogether. Is that being a good influence?

the chinese students make up at least 80% of the school's students.
