THE UPRISING STAR OF PETALING JAYA

SMKBUD4 is a remarkable school with a humble beginning at the forgotten corner of Bandar Utama Damansara. Today after 7 years and 4 Pengetuas (yes, this is the 4th Pengetua) it will once again be the shinning star of Petaling Jaya. The hard work of the 1st Pengtua Puan Liu Ling Ling in making the school the envy of Petaling Jaya is on the rightful path again.

Last year, both SPM and PMR examination resulted in lots of straight "A"'s students and this year in the SPM, a student scored 16 A's. Despite the issues in the school and so much demotivation factors last year, the teachers NEVER neglected their duties.

This year, the school had the privilage of having a new Headmaster ie Mr. KL Tay and we are confident that with his leadership, the school reputation will once again leap in multiple folds. Besides the committed teachers, the school also has a very co-operative parents who will support the PIBG to its fullest.

To Mr KL Tay - welcome to SMKBUD4 and we look forward to your vision and leadership in shaping the school to be the best in Selangor. You have fantastic teachers and committed parents behind you and not forgetting the students whose dream are to excel in their examination results.

Do you guys have got nothing better to do after SPM? Whether you are from SMKBU4 or SMKDJ, your
language bring shame to your respective schools, and I think none of these schools would want to claim you as their own for defending their honours! Please if you have nothing constructive to say, then people won't know that you actually can't explain much if you don't write such degrading comments. It is a sad state of the affair to know that WE are producing students of such calibre nowadays in our schools, no moral, no values, just spewing foul words at each other, like the beasts beating their chests boasting of who is more macho, and dare we say, CLEVER!

eh admin my dream is to excel in exam but my teachers suck. im from 5 matahari n i wana get all A in SPM dis yer. but all my teacher suck.

To those students who have written in using foul and vulgar language it is such a shame that so many years of school education has not taught you anything. Do you talk to your parents or even your teachers the way you do here with your senseless vulgar foul language??
Do you have the guts to even use such language when you deal with people of authority - try using foul language with the police or worse when you are cornered by some bad bullies or robbers - i'm sure your tongue can't regenerate so fast!
To those who want to bitch about which school is better please take it out of this blog.
By the way, teachers are here to help you to a certain extent - you are responsible for your own doings. If you don't help yourself by hard work who is there to help you to succeed?

I have just received an upset news from my daughter today. Two of BU4 finest teachers were ordered to betransfered by the State Education. It is a disappointment when the sun was rising up to this side and yet was followed by gloomy clouds. why is this thing happening? This two teachers have contributed a lot to the school and are well known by the students. This is just unfair.

Anonymous said...

Can't the school do anything to stop this two teachers from leaving? They are transferring without their will, how could the State Education do this? there are other teaachers who were supposed to be transferred but not this two teachers.........we're going to miss Puan Zulaiha and Cik Adilah. They have helped us a lot.

Anonymous said...

It is unfair to transfer both very dedicated teachers because they were standing up agaisnt the evil and wrongdoing of the former principal!

Puan Zulaiha & Cik Adilah have contributed so much to the development of the school. Students and parents alike enjoy their presence in school. Teachers are glad to have good colleagues like them.

This is just the beginning. If they can transfer these two wonderful teachers then I'm sure there are more to come. We must not let this happen.

We've united to get rid of the pricipal who did nothing but detroy the school's reputation. We shall now unite to bring back and make sure all these dedicated teachers stay in this school.

Let me repeat. We cannot and will not lose teachers who are so dedicated and caring. These two in particular have a good track record in educating the students and initiating many events for the students of this school.

Let's unite!

I would like to represent my class, 5 Matahari to state our stand that we are not ungrateful brats.
We value a teacher's guidance and teaching and WE will never EVER utter such demoralizing statement such as "myteachers suck". *refer to the 2nd comment*

Therefore to those who have read the comment posted by Anonymous, I would like to thank the teachers first and foremost for the wonderful guidance they have given us so far. Please don't let 5 Matahari's image be tainted by that comment.

Furthermore, I'm pretty sure all students in 5 Matahari can construct a grammatically correct sentence?

Thank you.

ps. I hope that no one will not sabotage 5 Matahari's image because "Kerana nila setitik, rosak sebelangga susu" and also "terlanjak perahu boleh diundur, terlanjur kata buruk padahnya". We wish to mantain good relationships with all the teachers who are teaching us. Your cooperation is very much appreciated by us.

I'm afraid I made a typo.

ps. I hope that no one will not sabotage 5 Matahari's image because "Kerana nila setitik, rosak sebelangga susu" and also "terlanjak perahu boleh diundur, terlanjur kata buruk padahnya".

The above sentence should be written as:

ps. I hope that no one will sabotage 5 Mathari's image.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Hi, i'm from 5 Teratai. The person from 5 Mat should be happy for the teachers assigned for ur class. Look at my class, as the second best class, we did'nt get good teacher for ur class......( especially 4 3 science subjects)

Anonymous said...

I support the previous person's comment. Even the third and the fourth class get better teacher than the second class. This is truly unfair. I hope that b4 the PIBG AGM, the principal,Mr Tey can do something about it.

By the way Mr Administrator,

you mentioned that:
"Last year, both SPM and PMR examination resulted in lots of straight "A"'s students and this year in the SPM, a student scored 16 A's. Despite the issues in the school and so much demotivation factors last year, the teachers NEVER neglected their duties."

Not a single word of thanks to the old pengetua. You should be more diplomatic even if you despise someone.

So lets pray that the new pengetua will do just as well and avoid being dumped off the school like the previous 3 pengetuas...

And mr Administrator, you should avoid being bias towards anyone, you are the administrator, you should be moderate and unbiasbut from the tone of your comments you seem to have given the new pengetua flying colours when when he is barely pass 1 month in the school..how do you know he will take us to new hights?(you get my drift?)

Be firm, be vocal, but be fair and be honest.

admin, kindly remove all vulgar comments. would be highly appreciated (:

pn zulaiha and cik adilah has been teachers i attribute my success to - though im long gone from the school. pn zulaiha's advices, and cik adilah as my very first english teacher...they've helped me in so many ways.

i say we protest against their transfer.

and the top scorer got 15A1s btw. his success is his, his families, teachers of bu4, and our ex HM. be just.

Anonymous said...

Unfortunately, the top scorers stated their point that their success was not at all a single contribution from the ex hm.

I was told that Mr.Tay has given talks to the form 4 and form 5 students to give them advise and impart wisdom, and in the process, he has a great sense of humour and the kids( i think majority of them ) feel an affinity for him, and at least a sense that their HM cares for them rather than the water fountains and pondok-pondok.

To those people who are degrading Mr. Tay in the most despicable and unspeakable way, your words could not bring salvation to Puan Zebeda because actions(and the way she spent money) speak louder than words. Puan Zebeda has been given many chances to clarify her intention, position, or anything she wanted the public to better understand her budget-busting ways, but she was unable to say anything to anyone. In fact, she could make known her thoughts on this forum, after all this is open to anybody. She could not give a satisfactory explanation to the BU4 parents who busted their tails raising funds with the Food fairs, and neither could she explain adequately to the Ministry of Education, and I am afraid this INCIDENT is going to shadow every step of the rest of her career. So if you really care for her, do not make it worst by mouthing off 4-letter words or vent your spleen, she needs counseling and divine intervention.

Zubaida a.k.a Zabedah's girlfriend is starting to rear her ugly head (pun intended) again. According to rumors, she publicly criticized Pn. Zulaiha and Cik Adilah just a few days ago in front of a class full of form fives.

"Kenapa dua orang gila itu masih di dalam sekolah?"Why are the two idiots still in the school?*students whisper*

"Satu lagi masih di dalam bilik kaunselling."One is still in the counselling room.Obviously, if you're in this school, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that she's shitting about Pn. Zulaiha.

Come on people. Some may still believe Zabedah's a religious freak and all but in truth, she's no better than the devil himself.

Why?

Teachers usually transfer out of their own free will but based on witnesses, Pn. Zulaiha cried when a concerned student asked her if she was staying. And i can't see any reason why Cik Adilah would want to transfer out.

Here's why. Zabedah has contacts (read: powerful, influential) up in the ministry. Isn't it obvious? She and her whole 'kementrian kementrian' thing last year.

Anyway, i'm here to pledge all students to stand up against Zubaidah if she publicly criticize any teachers again. She may be a good BM teacher, but this is SERIOUSLY going overboard.

erm, admin? I think its time to take down those polls now. :)

A HM holds the key to the rise and fall of a school. There is much truth to the dictum that you can have a good HM in a bad school, but you cannot have a bad HM in a good school.
The personal qualities, traits and experiences of a HM are certainly important factors in determining the success or failure of a school.
Leading and managing a school right and well is no easy task and the fate of our schools cannot be left to chance.
When a school head fails to perform or is indulged in his own queer ways of building up a school, the committed and responsible teachers become frustrated and students suffer.
Using offensive and abusive language on students just to show one's superiority is a sign of inferiority complex. Calling students STUPID and making them to write 150 times "I will always listen to the Pengetua's instructions" are works of a person who is unfit to head a school! Our students are not in primary level! Show some integrity and respect please!
Just barely 3 months of taking over the helm and we are beginning to see the true colours of someone we place our hope and trust to take the school to a higher level? Is it going to happen??
This blog should persevere and take on a new challenge - get the truth and feedback from students and teachers about their new HM.

wow wow wow

I think Mr Tay is ok if compare to the Zabedah last time lar..but got alot things he do sumtimes i feel not right. He come in like 3months only he try change so many things. Like how he punish the ppl who come late. No offense but it don't work. This is coming from a prefect here. Alot of my frens purposely come late so they can skip subjects like chinese and bm. Also, he compare prefects from our school and his old school. I dont agree. His old school if prefects very good how come there was the students fighting case? And Mr Tay also sometimes very rude. He expect people to respect him and do wat he say. But if u show bad example how can ppl respect u? When he talk to the students sometimes he can be very impolite and he always interupt ppl when they talking. Maybe he still new to school i don know.
But besides taht i think what he is doing for the school now is his good intention like maintain the dress code and all.
