Message to the Honorable Pengetua of SMKBUD4

To Puan HJH. ZABEDAH BT HJ. ABBAS

I am sure that you are aware of this “BLOG” and you cannot simply deny its existence. I am appealing to you to hold a meeting with the parents of the students to iron out all issues raised. As the administer of the website, my intentions were to ensure the good name of the school and the well being of the all the students. It was never meant to directly or indirectly attack anyone. What surprise me were the negative comments that came out.

Once again, I appeal to you and with the assistance from the P.I.B.G to organize a “get together” with the parents. I am sure the parents would like to meet up with you in the most friendly manner to discuss matters that concerned their children and the school they loved so much.

Do it neither for the sake of the parents nor the sake of anyone’s ego but rather for the well being of the all students. Both the PMR and SPM are months away and it’s best to resolve this matter so that there will no longer be any dissatisfaction among all concerned.

I am sure you can find the time in your busy schedule to meet them and they would definately accomodate your timing.
Students of the school, please do not let out your frustration here as this is not the intention of the "blog". Rather you should persuade and ask your Pengetua to meet with your parents to smoothen this matter before the situation gets worse.
Use the "blog" to encourage your Pengetua to meet with your parents as attacking her would only make her avoid and delay the meeting more. I am sure there are some nice things you can say about her.

Puan Pengetua, some students of the school has expressed their feeling freely as they love the school and proud to be part of the school. Please view this as their freedom of expression and not to be taken NEGATIVELY in any manner.

Thank You

I for 1 strongly agree with this suggestion as it may shed light on how things are getting worse and is in need of sorting out. As a current student, I think that this situation needs to be addressed professionally and work together to solve the current situation.

Although much damage has been done, the pengetua can still make up for her loses and disapprovals to continue providing the school to it's fullest potential. We students, parents and even teachers have many complaints and probably a lot of rumors that could be half truth and all lies but why talk about that when we can address the situation before it's too late.

If we do not solve the current issue, by the end of the year I can say that many things could happen and may even entrench our school in major catastrophes. I've heard from truth many parents are planning to shift students out of this school. Our school's profound reputation may drop intensively. And most importantly, many TEACHERS has planned to quit the job if current issues are not addressed as teachers are the foundation of schools.

I hope that pengetua will take this into consideration and perform the necessary action as you still can be a good pengetua. Please don't shut us up, we're just trying to do what's best. I do not want to end up studying in another school that I would regret.

Cheers

As a current student, I feel so disappointed with the way our principle is handling things. I, personally do not want the reputation of this school to drop just like that. Please, pengetua, if you are reading this, I hope that you realise your mistakes and will do something about this. It is for the sake of the students, teachers and even parents.

Typing error: schedule

Keep up the good work administrator. However, i disagree with the idea of trying to resolve the problem with a 'friendly gathering' sort of thing.

The best way to resolve this issue is to get her out of this school. Frankly, the damage she has done to our school merits a dismissal. Plus, her attitude and style of administration is absolutely not what the school needs. We need leaders who have the brains and looks to take this school forward. Most important of all, we need people who will not judge others based on skin colour nor religion. As a student of this school, i can't tell you how much dislike i have for our current pengetua. Infact, its so embarassing that even a blog has to be started to go against her insensitive ways. However, i am just a student. The way i think might be immature and raw. But, i hope you will do what's best for the well-being of this school.

LONG LIVE PUAN LIU.

I do not have much say in this issue since I am no longer a student in BU4. However, I feel that it is not unexpected for the pengetua to lash out at this blog for allegedly "defaming" her name. I mean, if a person has previously shown that he or she cannot handle constructive criticism in a positive light, how can that person handle an entire blog scrutinizing his or her every mistake?

Look here, dear pengetua, I implore you to be receptive to a voice of dissent and the suggestions of an opposition. Our country is founded on these very principles. Hence, I think that you should realise democracy is a tried and tested system in which those entrusted with authority are continuously enhanced via suggestions which may not necessarily be in line with the leader's thoughts.

History has shown time and time again that dictators and despots are never left with a good and honourable name. Only those who are willing to submit themselves to the right and might of the people, or serve the people with every good intention have been left with distinguished reputations. For instance, Mother Teresa, Florence Nightingale. Whereas, Adolf Hitler or Mussolini would be the antithesis to the earlier examples.

To simply put it, start showing more concern for the needs of others, rather then the needs of one's ownself.

(I'm prolly gonna get screwed and denied letters of recommendation by the school after writing this)

Dear pengetua:

In January you came and everyone was excited.

But what you've done have made you disliked and hated.

The funds we gathered was like a mountain,

But you spent it extravagantly on your damn fountain.

The school field has been full of water.

But we don't have the funds to resolve this matter.

What makes you so depraved and evil?

As nasty and ugly like the devil.

If you're reading this, i hope you cry,

Better yet, I wish you'd die.

i am really upset with the state the school is in now. being a 5th former in this school, i know i shall not speak too much as i should just bear with it for a few more months before the spm. but i think stern actions should be taken to correct the situation hoping to bring back the school to the former state. & i am also very concerned about the 100k we put in so much effort in raising last year. hopefully the mosquito issues are solved when school reopen.

even standing at the bas lay by mosquitoes are surrounding you. & these big fat mosquitoes are aedes mosquitoes.

Anonymous said...

We worked our asses off on canteen day to get that 100k+

that pengetua came and spent it all in less than FOUR MONTHS. or three months in that matter

tell me how can i or WE accept someone like this?
that was our hard work and she spent it all on FOUNTAINS AND PONDOKS.

The school is leaking all over the place and nothing is done. the field's condition is HORRENDOUS.

How would you like it if someone did that to you, HJH Zabedah HAJI bt Abbas?

i dont think you would like it very much. probably screech your head off like what you do everytime when things dont go your way.

this is a pretty good poem i found

terdapat seorang guru dari sabah,
Namanya, Puan Hajah Zabedah
mukanya hodoh, mindanya bodoh
dengan zabedah, sekolah akan roboh

a bit harsh. but almost completely true.

Haha, love the poem. You should have represented our school during the pantun competition, where she insulted and plummered our schools reputation on that day with her speech.

wow. great idea using the blog for a purpose. I'm not connected to the school but i have frens in it. All the best!

I just wish that you do something productive and and not simply rant at us every Monday.. it sucks the energy out of the students.. the only reason why morale is so low and many discipline problems are emerging is due to the fact of her screaming her head off every time she makes a speech.its demoralizing and extremely disconcerting.

To all students and parents of SMK BUD (4),

I understand how you guys feel as I myself as an ex student feel sad and disapointed. All that we had built in these years are now gone. Vanished in the air. There is a saying, 'It takes years to build something but only days to destroy it.'

This is exactly what is happening in the school. But being vulgar or making harsh remarks will not do any good. I hope all you will take it easy and deal with this problem diplomaticly. There is really no use ranting because as we can see the principal clearly does not give a damn.

I urge the parents of students in SMK BUD (4) to unite. Only when everyone are united things can be solved. If this case has to be brought up to the ministry, do it. The parents do have the power to do so.

There is a lot of things I would like to bring up but as an ex student I think it is better for those directly involved to voice up. Just in case any parties will start accusing me for making allegations once again.

I urge those who have evidence to come forward to speak up. Do not fear if what you say are the truth. Nobody can harm you if you have evidence. Do not be afraid to mention your name. In fact, aren't we suppose to be proud of our name?

On another note, I also hope that this blog's administrator will reveal his/her identity. Simply because people will take you more seriously if you have an identity.

Till then...

Anonymous said...

Dear Philip Yong,

The administrator has reasons to keep his identity. During the PIBG AGM a parent made a nasty statement on the Pengetua and on the following Monday, the Pengetua went around the school asking whose parent was that.

I am sure when the time come, the person will review himself/herself.

In the meantme, let's help the parents in getting the meeting organised with the Pengetua.

hello guys,
the pricipal of the school might be under the influence of some other party because as far as i'm concerned she was naive when she stepped into the school. without someone else to guide her and tell her to do things; i doubt whether she'll be what she is now. the objective is obvious and the other party is also obvious if you pay attention as that person is really sly and secertive. that person makes other ppl appeal to the school as the bad guy BUT that PERSON is the worst.

cheers.

So? Even if they 'guided' influenced her to do all those stuff..she has a brain to think right? They might as well guide her to eat shit if she can't think on her own ffS.

Dear Administrator your blogsite has provided an avenue for both students and parents to vent their frustrations towards the school principal's modus operandi.More parents should be aware of this blogsite and contribute their views and suggestions to help solve this crisis.
I fully support the idea of having a meeting with the pengetua and the president of the Pibg and his committee to put an end to this and let the school and students move ahead towards more positive and better developments.
Dear parents we need to hear your constructive criticisms and suggestions.Do it now for the betterment of your children's future.

I heard some rumor going round that the plasma tv at the foyer of the school was stolen during the holidays.

Careless much? I heard it costs a few thousand bucks.

i hope you can look into that and provide some info regarding this matter.

there goes your KESELAMATAN part from your 3K, Zabedah.

There's a fountain in the library. A FOUNTAIN!!! I'm not a librarian, but I'm pretty sure those can damage the books.

Also, on the first day back from holidays, she made a speech as usual. However, this speech started off ALMOST IMMEDIATELY with her ordering a group of girls to stand up for talking during her speech. She was strangely persistent in getting (at least) ONE group of people to FLAME. Then she complained about how we all should know BM and that we must understand BM and even though we dont speak BM at home, we must learn to speak BM... That was basically attacking non-native-BM speakers. The majority of which are not Malays. So... she is being RACIST and accusing non-Malays of being less attentive/ less respectful/ etc.

She also said Arabic is the language of heaven. Well... It's not. Its the language of ARABS!!! Arabs spread Islam so Islam is known in arabic. Arabs do NOT mean heaven. So, we non-arab-speakers go to hell? She should learn to respect other people's religion. Everybody has their own idea of heaven. Language probably doesnt even matter in heaven.

Honestly, i feel she should be sacked. And never allowed to teach anyone, anywhere. Not even the sepilok gang can learn anything from her.

Anonymous said...

I think she should go to Saudi.
She will be well accepted there.

Okay, Arab is the language to heaven. So if i'm speaking english or mandarin, where am I going to go?

Hell?

That woman is bordering on ridiculous.

Anonymous said...

Yeah,I also heard that the 2 plasma TV's were stolen.Who stole it?And,why is she hiding this issue from the students? What, does she have a problem facing students who WILL and WOULD yell at her?You stupid headmistress! For "Allah's" sake, get the hell out of the school!

Timothy said...

hello, i am a student in SMKBUD(4)
yes, the TV was stolen... only one... (who said we had 2?) nevermind that.. however.. the pengetua should've bought a safety box to protect it from theibes instead of wasting it on more fishes for the useless fountain... and the friendship garden that PN.LIU created is in utter disuse. i would like to express my extreme disappointment toward the pengetua on her carelessness and inconsideration.. the day i see her leave, SMKBUD(4) will rise again...

long live Pn. Liu

All of the things that have been discussed here, there's this one issue that I find disturbing to me. Lately, my daughter keep on telling me stories about the 'relationship' of the Principal and the Senior Assisstant of Cocurriculum. Students are making comments that they are having an abnormal 'relationship' and thus this worries me. I'm not sure whether this is being overexagerated but then my daughter said that the bilik kesihatan that was transformed to the Principal's Personal Room can only be entered by two persons. Guess who? The principal and the Senior Assistant. I asked my daughter not to make such assumption, however I was informed that on several occasions students often find it hard to see either one or even both during school times. When were asked at the office, both were usually not around. I got the chance to verify this by asking one of my friends whom is a principal and it is learnt that the principal rarely attend any meetings among the district principal. Some students have even bumped into them while getting out from the car together, returning from somewhere and this happen frequently. Both did not went to their classes, there were no substitute teacher that went to the classes so the students were left unattended. What if something happen during their absence? Who is going to take the responsibility? I can't comment on the 'relationship' but is it possible for teachers to 'disappear', to come and go as they please and leaving the students unattended in their classes. Might as well I homeschool my children. I hope the story about the 'relationship' is not true. But then, you have to be blind not to be suspicious as students do make assumptions because it doesn't seem right.

The strange realtionship between the Pengetua and the Senior Assistant of CocoCurriculum is getting quite alarming.

The lastest I heard is that they went on a holiday together.

Hey Puan Zubaidah - I dont care what you do or go with the Pengetua. Just make sure the school magazine comes out before the SPM exam. You have NO excuse for delaying it. The 2006 magazine was delayed with the excuse that the school want to put in a special page to bid farewell to Puan Liu. Last year there was no excuse for the delay except the fact that you were sitting on it. This year we are watching you..............................................

Anonymous said...

if the school magazine is late again this yr. the pengetua and senior assistant, PN ZUBAIDAH will be getting it from the parents.

that is.. if the pengetua stays till the end of the yr.

i'm sick and tired of all the rules zubaidah has for the school mag layouts. she's not even part of it.
ITS OUR WORK. OUR CREATIVITY. NOT YOURS.

even "peace" signs get rejected.
What? you against peace?
go back to Sabah then, zabedah, and take zubaidah with you.

Anonymous said...

Hey Puan Zubaidah,

So what is wrong with the peace sign. For your infomation which you may find it hard to comprehend for you lack the brain capacity to do so.

The "peace sign" came about in the 60's when million of youngsters protest against the war in Vietnam for they wanted peace. Oh yes I forget that an "orang utan" doenst know what a peace sign is.

Dont forget that Malaysian vision is Wawasan 2020 and its not 2020BC.

May I suggest you apply for a transfer to Sabah so that the school can achive the governemnt vision of Wawasan 2020. If you cant handle the school magazine (which you yourself know you cant) please pass it to someone who can. There is dignity in going off gracefully than to make a total idiot of yourself. (by the way I hope you understand English).... you want a banana

I am very worried and concerned that the school morale has been downgraded. STUDENTS SMOKING AND INDULGING IN SOCIAL ILLS??? My daughter told me that her class teacher explained the reason of Bakat Malam changing to Hari Bakat which will be held on 28 June 08 morning from 10am - 12 noon is because of students were smoking away and some dating and indulging in acts that were described as "tak senonok" (not decent). You mean all this while, the school administrators just kept quiet that such social ills did happen during the past years of Malam Bakat??? Why now only the above problems are brought up especially during the new Pengetua era??? Why wasn't the above problem arrested immediately after last year's Malam Bakat. Why wait until now i.e. 1 year later to surface? You bring it up now because you think this new Pengetua, Pn Zabedah is so capable to handle such problem??? What she has cleverly done is to switch this talented performance of students from night to morning thinking that it will solve the whole problem. Think again Pn Zabedah! By switching the time WILL NOT STOP such students from repeating these social ills!!! May it be sunny and bright or pitch dark outside the performace hall of KBU, once inside the hall, the lights have to be dimmed for the respective talented performers to perform and once the lights are dimmed, such students can carry on with their impended acts. How can you control such students? So the question is are you dear Pn Zabedah doing the right thing by switching the Malam Bakat to morning? It is not only night time that these students dare to smoke etc. I have seen some students, as soon as they are out of the school compound, they are wild. Boy and girl holding hands intimately. They certainly don't need the excuse of Malam Bakat to do this! What is your rationale for switching the Malam Bakat to morning??? Is it to satisfy your want or is it to destroy Pn Liu Ling Ling's idea and brainchild? It was Pn Lui's vision and certainly it was indeed a very good one and it had made SMKBUD4 proud owner of Malam Bakat for the past 6 years consecutively. Many schools in Petaling Jaya are envious of our Malam Bakat for the past 6 years and all the students whether or not involved in any performances are always very excited about it. They always look forward to their annual Malam Bakat. The response and turn out of spectators were overwhelmed. Let the students enjoyed their annual Malam Bakat as before. Why deprived them of their rights??? This year's Hari Bakat in the morning will not be the same as before and many students I believe are quite reluctant to attend. Think about it Pengetua, Pn Zabedah.

Anonymous said...

Puan Zabedah, I hope you are reading this.

In my opinion, I would like to tell you that you are rude and irresponsible. During assembly on Mondays, why do you like to raise your voice??. You want respect from us, but what about your respect to us?? Pengetua, oh wait..you don't deserve that title. As a matter of fact, yes..you don't deserve to be a pengetua. Trust me, a lot of students hate you now, especially with the malam bakat being changed into hari bakat.

I always believed in justice. Don't worry, justice will be served one day. So, you either improve our school or you either leave the school for mutual conscent. The students and parents had enough with you and I am pretty sure that they also want you to improve the school or leave the school. It's your choice.

to students of SMKBUD4

I myself is not a student in BUD4 but just so happen to come across this blog n read about all the interesting stories u have.

I have a suggestion that might help out. Write a petition, stating all your problems and get all signatures from students and parents.

Having signatures from hundreds of students and parents i believe the Ministry has to do something about this issue.

Cheers
